He sounds like Obama.

General Mattis WSJ Op-Ed
The progs are orgasmic retweeting this, saying Mattis is really calling for all (republicans to join dems) to step-up and remove Trump but Mattis is too good to get political.

The world should be joining our tribe and not us joining theirs.

I don’t understand how you can have allies that constantly mooch off of the tax payers in this country and I’m not talking about just a few years but fricking decades.
They signed pacts and treaty’s to adhere to certain requirements and when they break them or don’t follow through we call them out and that’s somehow considered alienating allies?
It’s so ridiculous to me that the US has to carry the water for every country on earth.
Also wanted to add where was Mattis and these leaders calling out Obama and his admin for tribalism? Double standard.

People are inherently tribal. Look at the English. Centuries of working class lads conscripted to fight for King and Country and defend the Empire. In post-empire England, that tribalism morphed into soccer hooligans. Instead of fighting the natives in the third-world, the clashing identities just got reorganized to Millwall vs. West Ham or Chelsea vs. Tottenham.

no tribalism
I hate it because it inherently leads to collectivism. But it's just too ingrained in humans.

LMAO... I would take that bet... I guarantee you the rest of the world would suffer more without the U.S. than the U.S. would suffer without them...
I am ready to put this shite to the test and tell them all to go get fricked...

I think once most of them reach the level he did it is no longer apolitical whether they like it or not. He has his ties to defense contractors and wants war. He also wants the divide to end in America (as we all do) yet he fails to acknowledge demoralization of America. He is not a nationalist (America first) he is a globalist like the Pentagon and most of DC.
As I type this, the Pentagon is probably more worried about trans soldiers comforts; more than defense. It is all politicized full blown left at the highest echelons. There are far less Admiral Lyons' remaining.

Tribalism is necessary in the absence of shared values. And who wants to share values with the Chinese or loony progs

And yet it was the ibidiots and nevertrumpers who told me that it was Mattis who couldn't work with Trump any longer
Sure looks like we know now who got outed, and quickly kicked to the curb, doesn't it?

Mad Dog has always been a pathological egocentric and here's the trivia part of all this.
His men really didn't love and respect him. That's a lefty myth. He was/is every bit the cuck political general that was any general appointed to his position since Ike.

To hell with that guy. I've lost all respect for him.

What part of this do you disagree with?
It sounds to me like he is attacking the democrat strategy of victimization based on sex or race.
quote:
What concerns me most as a military man is not our external adversaries; it is our internal divisiveness. We are dividing into hostile tribes cheering against each other, fueled by emotion and a mutual disdain that jeopardizes our future, instead of rediscovering our common ground and finding solutions.
All Americans need to recognize that our democracy is an experiment—and one that can be reversed. We all know that we’re better than our current politics. Tribalism must not be allowed to destroy our experiment.

Mattis , and his kind, have no identity without war. In order to be relevent, he and his type must not recede into peace, but be ever vigilant to seek out the next conflict. Trump doesn't believe in perpetual war, and that's a good thing. I like Mattis, for what he is, and for the right time, but now isn't that time.
