ATTN Media experts on Joe Burrow

When you cite stats from the 2018 season, please consider the conditions for those stats.
You have lots to cover, so to support your assessment, here is a proper reminder.
1) Joe transferred just before Fall Camp.
2) At the time, the Tigers had 4 QB's battling for starting.
3) Immediately before the season, 2 of the 4 transferred from the program when it looked like they would not win the job.
4) That left Joe and Myles Brennan in a close battle
5) Joe Burrow won the competition
6) Unbeknownst to most, Brennan had an injury that made it not feasible to play him much
7) Since the team went from 3 backups to effectively one-that-was-not-fully-ready, the risks the coaches could take where reduced, thus Joe's play needed to be constrained in part (as much as could be, given his LB mentality of physical play).
8) Near the end of the season, Brennan was ready, and Burrow found his groove, and his stats for those games are most meaningful.
9) Joe took snaps from the gun since a child, and 2018 was the first time he did so under center in his entire playing life.
10) Joe Brady is the perfect person for Joe Burrows style.
In conclusion, we know you are busy. We know you can't be expected to follow everythjng like an insider. We know the recent skepticism of "I'll believe it (great QB play at LSU) when I see it" is generally warranted.
But you should be giving reports that are more than general.
If you look at the full picture, you will see that 2019 is a completely new and unique scenario.
Believe the Joey Football hype.

I've no doubt he will throw for 3000+ this year. No doubt at all.
It's going to be like 2013 but with a defense.

This is how I feel. I'm on the 3000-3500 total yards train with 30 total touchdowns. I'm sticking to it.

That's been said over and over again. And while we have nothing to indicate it wasn't true, I wonder if the "injury" was really more cover for a true feeling that Brennan (even healthy) was a significant step down from Burrow.
I don't think the "battle" was that close. Remember, the job appeared to be Brennan's to lose going into the 2018 spring. Brennan played in 6 games as a Freshman and it wasn't all just in mop up duty. He played significant snaps vs. Syracuse and Troy. Yet, despite a Brennan having some degree of experience AND going through an entire spring getting a bulk of the practice reps, the coaching staff felt it was necessary to bring in a largely in-experienced grad transfer AFTER spring and 3 months before the start of the season. You have to remember, it wasn't like they were bringing in a Baker Mayfield who had started a full season at Texas Tech, or Jalen Hurts to Oklahoma. Burrow had only slightly more game experience than Brennan when he arrived at LSU and had NO experience whatsoever in the LSU offense. Burrow was by no means a "sure thing" coming to LSU, so clearly the staff had very little confidence in Brennan as the starting QB. Otherwise, you don't take a risk by bringing in a new guy so late in the game.

You have made it so clear. You obviously know firsthand that Brennan’s injury was fabricated so that leaves no other conclusion than he SUCKS as a QB.
Brennan should transfer immediately and Parrish be elevated to backup.
God forbid if Brennan really ever has to take the field.
Thanks for the insight 26.

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make. I personally don’t know anyone who doesn’t think Joe is gonna have a great year..including myself. Is it gonna be Heisman worthy like some are claiming? Well..most of us are skeptical of that kinda greatness...but hopefull...cause it means we are in the playoffs at the very least.
