Anyone have the Impossible Burger at Burger King?

Not that I am going vegan, but just wondering if it's horrifying or actually tasty?

Well I tried the beyond burger this weekend and it was garbage. Screw all these people saying it tastes like beef. So if the impossible burger is like that, then it will suck

No but I've had impossible burgers at a few other places....Hopdoddy and some local restaurants and it is very good, much better than other veggie burger brands....although the beyond burger is good too. But I am a piscetarian so I'm probably not a good judge.

I’m not sure what Burger King is going for here. The Impossible burger with bun and all is not really healthy at all. And on top of that, vegans wouldn’t touch BK with a ten foot pole anyhow.

Well a vegan diet is not one of the healthier diets anyway, although an 80% veggie diet would rank up there.
This is not for the health conscious, but for people that think its immoral to slaughter cows. That's not me though; I hate cows.

Why not? I mean I'm not going to make a special trip to BK but if I need a quick meal while traveling or between meetings and one is close and knowing they have a good veggie burger, I may stop by.

It’s a terrible idea still in my mind. How many vegans or vegetarians are there? On top of that, how many are going to be desperate on the run and say hey let’s stop at Burger King.

I converted to piscetarianism from pedestrianism when my alligator boots gave me stinkfoot.

According to surveys I've seen, many meat eaters want a vegetarian option occasionaly. Fake meat is a growth industry and the stock for Impossible Burger has risen significantly.

I dont think it will be any good. I did see the vagan no meaters are pissed because BK is cooking those burgers on the same grill they use for real meat

BK had a veggie burger years ago. This isn't anything new.

If you're expecting it to taste like beef, you will be disappointed. If you like a hot and juicy veggie patty, then it is a tasty sandwich.

Can’t you request to have the patty cooked in the oven though?

You'd be surprised how many people are fake vegetarians. Or want to act like they're eating "healthy".

There's a beyond meat plant around the corner from where I work here in COMO. When the LTL freight trucks come here after delivering there, the smell coming from the trailer will make you gag. Really indescribable odor and freaking gross. The drivers hate going over there.
I will never eat one of them things.

Have you ever been near a rendering plant?

Don't they roll these veggie burgers on the same machine with the real meat burgers?
Posted on 8/13/19 at 2:43 pm to udtiger
I don't understand why Burger King felt the need to create a veggie burger. They really think that this is a big market they are missing out on? It just doesn't make sense

Pretty soon there will be fast food restaurants with only plant based meat options. it will start on the west and east coast but will eventually make it to the south. Burger King and other fast food giants are trying to develop the meat free options so they can compete....similar to Inbev (budweiser) buying craft beer brewers to take market away from smaller Craft Beer brewers. Young people want meat free options since the belief is meat production contributes to climate change (let's don't debate that here).
