I'm not laying down any ground rules, so you're free to talk about anything you want. You can talk about your favorite candidate, or give me your top 3, or give a general assessment of the field in general.

But we've had 2 rounds of debates to-date, so what are your thoughts? Who do you like? Who do you think can beat Trump? Are you hoping another candidate jumps into the race?

Let's hear it.

Not a Democrat but since legitimate answers here will be few and far between I'll throw my hat in.

Biden is your cookie cutter standard establishment corpitist candidate. He gets many of his votes for being moderate and also for being Obama's VP in the two debates he's done pretty poorly. First debate Harris smacked him around and then Booker.

Warren really fricked herself with that whole Native American debacle but she does gain some traction when it comes to votes by towing the line between establishment and populist.

Harris is a straight up cop. And this isn't to say all cops are bad, but she has a horrible record. We saw a snipit of her record when Tulsi bodyslammed her, but she's also been for throwing parents in jail when their kids skip school and civil asset forfeiture. She is by far my least favorite legitimate candidate.

Tulsi would be the person I'd vote for if I was actually a registered Democrat. Her economic policies are similar to Bernie however her big win is on foreign policy and keeping America from falling into a police state. She by far was the best candidate of the two debates with her highlight being the massacre of Harris.

Bernie is the last big one. He did poorly the first time out but did pretty well for himself in the second debate. Everyone knows his policies, he wants to be Denmark is the easiest way to sum it up. If it weren't for the DNC fricking him over in 2016 we would have gotten Bernie vs Trump which is currently my pick if I had to money down on it.

Yang has also done pretty well in the debates when he can actually talk. I know lots here hate him for UBI , but it's not about votes for him. Listen to him on the Joe Rogan podcast. The guy brings up how quickly we're getting replaced by machines most notable truckers who are concerned about their jobs with the rise of self driving trucks. He thinks a UBI will be a safety net for them as they try to find another job

Good line, but this board is now 20% left-leaning at the least, and 30% at the most.

They're here, but I don't blame them for not exactly jumping in with both feet. Deep down, they probably see the same thing I'm seeing.

Former Dem here:
They are all trash, minus some aspects of Gabbard and Yang. I'm 100% voting Trump in 2020 but I think those 2 would have a chance. The Democrat party of today has ran off all of the old "bluedog" dems. Nobody but the fringe left wants socialism and Trump will wipe the floor with everyone minus Gabbard and Yang, Trump would win but it would be close.

Edit: Adding in that all of my friends here in NYC that are still Dems are on the Yang train, I have several that have volunteered for his campaign, I think he is about to start rising in the polls. They hate Bernie, Harris, and Biden with a passion.

Tulsi and Yang to me are the only two intellectually original candidates in the field. The rest are orange man bad.

HHTM listed left-leaning posters a few months ago (don't remember why), and he got up to 100 or so without breaking a sweat. And it was all members who post on a fairly regular basis.

Ok, I'm no Democrat but I can pass on the wisdom that my socialist cousin has been posting on the FB...

To accurately describe him, just imagine a typical male liberal. Thick, black framed glasses, short hair, short finely manicured beard. Used to run with anqueefa in Portland but recently got married and now his last name on FB is hyphenated: his wife's maiden name first - his family name second. (I know, fml )

He is fully behind Bernie, Booker and Harris. Hates Fauxcahontas with the fire of a thousand suns. Wishy washy on Biden but still thinks he could hand PDT his arse . He believes that Harris has all but eliminated Biden however. And he refuses to even mention the other names except for Beto, once. He calls them "the rest".

He hates the "terrorist sympathizer from Hawaii", and refuses to acknowledge that she absolutely pushed Harris's shite in and left her visibly shaking.

That's all I've gathered thus far. He's been a little more tame on social media since he got married.

Well. As a raging, temper tantrum throwing Democrat. I prefer my candidates to have simplistic platforms. If they attack white people...then, as a white Democrat, they'll definitely get my vote.

The only problem is, there are too many candidates attacking white people... so the Choice is not easy.

So I have to move a step further in my complicated political analysis. Whichever candidate attacks white people...AND trump. But golly, there are a lot of those also. Decisions decisions.

I seriously think a Biden/Obama ticket is the winning ticket. Barack is staying out of it for a reason. Michelle will be on the ticket if the nominee is anybody other than Harris or Booker. A diverse ticket is the key to victory.

They all suck except Gabbi and Delaney. My party will never nominate those too. We will probably get a combo of Warren and Booker. They suck.

TL;DR: They suck and Trump will be re-elected.

Your nickname should be "Always wrong."

PS - I wasn't even counting left-wing loons like you, who drop by the Q thread once a month and pretend to be moderate.

PS - Why can't you answer the question, bmy? Which one of those buffoons running for President do you like?
