It is clear that his standard is criminal intent.
If they again hang their hat on “no criminal intent,” and they probably will, we should have mass jury nullifications on all federal trials where there is not a physically harmed victim.

Sadly it is a no for me. I fear that the lawsuits by Strocyk and McCabe are based on info they received that there will be no charges forthcoming. Hope they’re just trying to play offense and they get hammered.

The suits can really be read different ways including that they’re saying, “Oh snap if we don’t do something proactive it’s going to look like we’re guilty when these indictments come.” But, I agree with you, nothing’s forthcoming; I just don’t base it on the lawsuits because I think they can easily be interpreted the other way around. cheers

Based upon what has occurred (or not occurred to this point), I would say NO.
Posted on 8/9/19 at 7:37 am to OTIS2
Nope. The top levels in DC are basically untouchable.

No, and it's the FISA cover-up.

Yes.
It all hinges on Durham and Barr. I believe that Durham was the perfect choice to both investigate and POTENTIALLY* charge the crooks in this matter. IG Horowitz seems to be engaging in some sort of dog-and-pony type of review, although I reserve the right to be pleasantly surprised by him. Huber? I follow this matter more closely than most here, but I honestly don't know what to expect from Huber.I just don't know exactly what he's doing, or how passionately he is investigating whatever it is he's looking at.
So for me, it mostly comes down to Durham and Barr. Do they have the resolve and the mettle to potentially prosecute a John Brennan the same way they would go after you or I? Or for that matter, even Hillary Clinton? Everybody here, even posters like Tex Ridder and Draconian Sanctions, knows that Hillary Clinton is a crook. With her, the question isn't whether or not to prosecute her. The only real question is, "Which crime do we start with?"
This isn't a game to me, and I don't give a damn about being proven right. I want OUR COUNTRY to rid itself of this DEEP STATE CORRUPTION as much as we possibly can. I've already told one poster here who disagrees with me on anything ever HAPPENING, but if I'm proven wrong and the whole "Investigate the Investigators" process comes up empty, I'll start a thread and admit that I was wrong. I'll be a man and give the liberals, Never-Trumpers, and some conservatives who simply never believed justice would be served an opportunity to crow about it.
For the sake of this country, I hope I never have to start that thread. If the Deep State gets off scott-free, it's going to be worse than ever.
I mean, look how bad it is now. That bought-and-paid-for puppet Nadler is STILL GOING TO TRY TO IMPEACH TRUMP, and now he's going after Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh, too. You think Nadler's puppet masters would be telling him to do this if the Deep State wasn't worried about what could be coming? They know what they've been doing (for decades, Dems & GOP), and they know that Trump, Barr, Durham, etc. know, too.
PS - Hillary didn't tell Donna Brazile "If that son-of-a-bitch gets elected, we will all hang from nooses" as a joke. Hillary knows where the bodies are buried. Hell, she should know. She buried about 20% of them herself.

If anyone is charged at all it will be the guy who only job is to lick and seal the envelopes in the mailroom.

It really should be the reset button just as much as if widespread gun confiscation starts, but it won’t, because as a whole we are comfortably numb.

JAN CRAWFORD: But you have concerns about how they conducted the investigation? WILLIAM BARR: Yes but you know, when you're dealing with official government contact, intent is frequently a murky issue. I'm not suggesting that people did what they did necessarily because of conscious, nefarious motives. Sometimes people can convince themselves that what they're doing is in the higher interest, the better good. They don't realize that what they're doing is really antithetical to the democratic system that we have. They start viewing themselves as the guardians of the people that are more informed and insensitive than everybody else. They can- in their own mind, they can have those kinds of motives. And sometimes they can look at evidence and facts through a biased prism that they themselves don't realize
quote:When I heard Barr say this on TV months ago my stomach turned. I then convinced myself that he said this to placate him being called partisan and Trump's personal lawyer (AG)
It is clear that his standard is criminal intent. And lately, that is exactly how all these big fish have been allowed to walk recently.
This very thing happened with McCabe. I then thought, now that Barr is there real justice will be served. Then Comey skated with this same premise. (all under the guise that it is the low hanging fruit) I agree with Fitton when he says this is not normal, you get as many charges and tack on the big ones with full evidence of it all.
Comey screamed intent when he said under oath that he leaked a memo to start a special council on President Trump. There is no and's if's or but's about it.

Sensitivity and diversity training yes.
Prosecutions, no.
Laws and accountability only apply to the plebs, not the government overlords and ruling elite.
