George and Donna, a team so many of us are all too familiar with.

For most people who grew up in Baton Rouge, George Sells and Donna Britt were so synonymous with Baton Rouge life that I’m not sure I can think of my entire adult life in this city without those two coming to mind. I think many people almost consider them part of their own extended family due to how often they were on the TV in their living rooms over the years. But Donna I believe carried the biggest place in people’s hearts with her infectious smile and ability to make the news a little more palatable for everyone, so much so that, due to the number of people asking about Donna, there’s an actual page dedicated to “How’s Donna?”
How’s Donna?
How’s Donna Page
What a strong, courageous, and inspirational character Donna Britt is.

Thousands of families and people are going through the same thing.
I would argue that some of those people contributed more than reading the news for 30 minutes a night.
So sorry she is suffering but meh.
Everyone fricking suffers. Be ready.

Donna was at Perkins Rowe around the holidays several years back. My daughter was playing violin with a group and Donna was emceeing the event. She sang Christmas Carols (sometimes solo) and went around and tried to get people to join in. It's not my style, but you could see how she was having a great time and loved people.

Because I don't think Donna Britt is deserving of sainthood?
Ok.

No, because you have a disturbing inability to look at one person’s courageous will to live in the midst of a debilitating muscular disease without trying to demean it by saying other people suffer too, with all your “meh” bullshite, as if people are unaware of this.
You’re just a little shite. That’s all you are. If you were as familiar with suffering you point out, you’d have enough empathy to relate and celebrate her will to fight. But you don’t, and that says volumes.

Donna is a kind and wonderful lady. I met her and her family years ago. They are a local treasure. She never meets a stranger and has an attitude about life that we should all strive to achieve.

Serious question..
It looks like Donna's days are numbered but Gleason is attending footballs games still. Does ALS just affect people differently? Or does Gleason have better access to help for it?

No I said I'm sorry she is suffering but meh.
And I'm correct. Do you have this empathy and passion for people stabbed by a knife for instance?
I think you don't. So don't preach at me about my life experiences. I feel for her along with the 1000's of others suffering like her.
Where are their stories? It's nice you saw her on the tube and she read some stories at the library. Let's hear about some pain and suffering from some war vets.

She always seemed to be a classy lady. Shame she's going out like this.

From what I understand of the disease, it does just that. For some people it’s much more aggressive than it is for others, much in the same way that other neurological and muscular diseases do.

why don't you post 1000 stories then, tough guy?
Donna is a local treasure and a local celebrity in a place where she can inspire others. She has a platform and is using it.
