Torchys for tacos

Bollo for good pizza

Galleria has a ton of places too but i avoid that area

El Tiempo is your best bet for Tex Mex...closest to you would be the Richmond Ave location. OG Ninfas just opened a place in Uptown, but I find outside of the octopus tacos...they don’t do a whole lot that competes with El Tiempo.

Caracol is more authentic coastal Mexican cuisine, Hugo’s for more authentic regional Mexican cuisine.

BBQ-big fan of Pinkerton’s...but they may be closed this week for family shite if I recall. Pit Room in the Montrose is great...really like the tacos there.

If it were me...I’d make it a point to hit Nancy’s Hustle, UBPreserv, Nobie’s, Riel, or Squable.

I would Roegels and Truth to your BBQ options.

Both are doable from your location. Be sure to check days/hours. Some BBQ joints close when they sell out.

Pit Room is an excellent choice.

El Tiempo

I'll cast another vote for them. We ate this twice in ten days when we were stuck in Houston.

North Italia is near the Galleria and is really good/fun atmosphere if you want some Italian food.

Pinkerton's for BBQ. Thursday is dollar beer night.

El Tiempo, Ninfa's, or Alma Latina for Mexican.

Truth BBQ if you don’t mind driving a little and are able to get there for lunch.
Also research China Town for some good Asian Food.
