I think our linemen are too high in their technique when run blocking

They need to get lower and drive the defenders out. Big Ed is too exposed and not using his leg strength in this pic. The lower man always wins.

Are you sure they’re run blocking there? Depends on the type of run, the defense and where you’re playing. Shoot, sometimes a crab block will do the job.

Sure thing "coach". You need to head over to practice and let them know how it's done.

For all you know this is towards the end of the block and he’s extended to push through his man

Are we critiquing a still shot photo on technique?

Or they could be at practice working on upper body technique drills is what it looks like to me.
I can assure you O and the oline coach have been around long enough to know how to coach that position.
Cregg was in the NFL, I would think he would know what he's teaching or he never would have been hired by the Chargers organization.

Exactly. And look at the defender. Standing up giving "great" effort. For all we know it was a half speed drill.

We ranked 8th in rushing last yr in the SEC. If we get about 4-7" lower in our technique, I'm sure we can improve to 4th.

Probably had nothing to do with the least talented backfield in the last 15 plus years right?

Theres three linemen there, indicating a double team drill for one of them. The other two aren't there to work on technique in that drill
