I moved to Austin in April. Wife's family has lived in the metro area for 13 years. My whole family is flying in, but we don't have tickets to the game.

Wrong.
This is the biggest LSU game, from a supply and demand standpoint, in any of our lifetimes.. i had a much, much easier time getting six tickets for the LSU/Bama National Title game thru TAF than getting just two tickets for this upcoming UT game.
You should definitely worry, a lot.. or just stop worrying, and pay through the nose... All because of UT and their crappy conference only alloting 3500 tickets.

In. Bought 2 nosebleeds for $200 off stub hub months ago. Hotel booked north of downtown. Now trying to figure out parking/shuttle to game.

Got tickets two weeks ago. Booked a room about 15 minutes away from the stadium, seemingly lots of availability at this point, not sure if anything else big is going on that weekend in town.
I don't see the prices dropping at this point, the game is too close and the demand is too high, so if all of the people that have posted before me are serious on going, they better start putting their money down.
