Obesity is a socioeconomic issue, which isn't something anyone is surprised at. I'm in my mid 20s, make good money, and live in a nice area. Not only are all of my friends not fat, but there is a very strong fitness culture in the group . Everyone is either working out, on whatever the new fad diet is, or training for marathons on the weekends. The only time I ever see fat people is when I go shopping at Walmart or a similar store.
The obesity problem is out in the country and in the ghettos impacting our black women. You'll solve obesity when you solve the stagnant middle class.
