Does hypothetical 13-0 #1 LSU go to the Peach Bowl or Fiesta Bowl?

Peach & Fiesta are the CFP semis this season. Does hypothetical undefeated LSU go to Atlanta for a second consecutive game or to Glendale for a repeat bowl visit?

They would get their choice and would almost certainly choose Atlanta.

They'd go to the same game as #4.

Yea but you already know if we go 13-0 and beat Bama they will put them at #4 and we would just have to play Bama in Atlanta.

Suppose Clemson or Georgia Tech were #4. Still Atlanta?

Yes top seed gets their choice.

I think so far the top seed has selected the closer bowl each time. Much easier for LSU fans to get to Atlanta. I edited with an “almost certainly.”

Is that really how it works? Serious, does #1 choose where they play and get #4, and 2/3 move to the other?

There's no way that a school gets to pick, though the committee obviously strives to give #1 the most favorable situation.

Neither. New Orleans Bowl bound if we go 13-0.

Does us discussing 'what ifs' have some effect on the probability of our team beating Texas?

Or is beating Texas your only goal for our team this year?

We would match up against Bama and probably not win a playoff game. Hypothetically......
