the ref on the field couldn't see it because number 3 was blocking his view.

if the ref on the field had seen it I believe he would have called it an interception.

but because the ref on the field couldn't see it because he was block by number 3, it was a 50/50 call and in 50/50 calls the call should always go to Alabama per the SEC office.

How was it a 50/50 call on replay? I get having a player dart in between the official and the play but there was indisputable video evidence.

M. Night always has the best twists. Did you know that guy with the hair piece was Bruce Willis the entire time?

I mean how fricking clear was that replay. That was the day I realized that sports officiating will never be fully unbiased and fair.

It WAS actually called an interception on the field as I recall.

ETA: just re-watched and I guess I remember it wrong.

Still most egregious fix I'd ever seen

The only solution is to go to all black referee crews.

The athleticism and speed of the game is beyond the ability of old white men to keep up... even from viewing, much less participating on a rules-interpreting basis.

It is what it is.

(before I get ragged, I watch and slow-mo and rewind and slo-mo and rewind and am amazed at what today's athletes can do... they are making adjustments on the ball, the play, the motion of the other players in real-time speed that is fascinating to watch. I love it... just need to realize it's beyond regular unathletic white men to regulate it)

Because it was an incomplete pass. Before PP possessed the ball, the ball hit the hand of a receiver who was out of bounds.
