The trade should be measured against garland in my opinion, as that’s who we would have probably picked. I’m a huge garland fan but now it’s looking like we may come out ahead. Still too much time to know at this point though.

And that Cleveland pick will really be two second rounders.

You’re right but I would rather have this haul instead of Garland. Not even close.

Cleveland second rounders are high 30s picks which some consider more valuable than low 1sts... So not the end of the world there.

I don’t believe that Garland was ever on their radar. They were very specific in the type of player they went after. Garland doesn’t fit the bill.

I'll admit I wanted Garland initially but the fact that he wasn't selected #4 was a little eye opening to me.
