never asked for your help muchacho.
I get it all too well. when people from rival teams are only emotionally invested in one player, it kinda removes any element of objective response. combine that with the american persecution complex in soccer and things get worse.
its like people cant just enjoy that CP has broken through in a way that few thought possible this season, and still only see through the lens of american bias whenever Pulisic doesnt play the full 90 of every game.
we still have these fragile american psyches about him. and it shows in every corner of the chelsea internet sphere.

Agreed. I suppose we will see. Based on the comments from Pulisic after the match, he sounds frustrated. I can’t imagine Lamps will be happy with his views (probably because they were spot on). My take is that the Brits don’t seem to like Pulisic much...especially Mount. Chelsea seems to have some division within their ranks. Willian and Giroud both seem frustrated when Mount is in. My guess is that they would prefer Pulisic. As stated...we will see.

I think there’s jealously there from the other younger players because of his salary and him being Captain America. Maybe they think he’s overhyped because he’s American.

His hype seems to be about spot on.

What did he say?

Here is what Pulisic had to say to our partners in the UK, Sky Sports.
“We were very close, we got it within one goal and the momentum was really changing,” Pulisic said. “I thought we had them but obviously it is just that one counter attack and it changed real quick. We weren’t quite there. In the second half the subs coming in and making a difference and getting a quick goal, that changes things. You could see thy were on the back foot for a while but they withstood our pressure. We were very close. We needed the result today, unfortunately we couldn’t get it, but luckily it is still in our hands and we have one more game to go. We go next game and we win and we qualify for Champions League and that’s the goal.”
pretty controversial stuff.

Bro I can’t believe he said that

I haven’t criticized Frank all year and think overall he’s done a great job given or roster, youth, GK, and injuries. That said if CP22 doesn’t start Sunday wtf Frank? But, I fully expect him to and Chelsea to qualify

I think the injury he picked up in the Norwich game is catching up in the semifinal, when he’s flying. But today he comes on and has 40 minutes, which is great for the injury to feel confident in it and shows the qualities which has been showing. Yeah, huge. He’s so young. He’s got such natural talent. He creates goals, he scores goals, and he’s a big player for us. Delighted to see him come through fit. Clearly, he’ll be a big player in these next few games for us, but going forward as well.
frank post game.
considering the muscle injuries he's had the past couple seasons, playing it safe isnt a bad call.
now, if there arent any reported setbacks and CP doesnt start, thats a whole other can of worms.

Can we have a separate Pulisic homer thread where we call innocuous coach speak controversial and debate conspiracy theories about biases of the manager and players toward the American bc well he’s American?
Frank has been out fricking standing this year ESPECIALLY with the way he’s handled Christian. Instrumental even, to his success in my estimation.
Look at us. We finally have an American on the cusp of becoming elite, and this is how we act? Others must point and laugh at us.

I agree he’s pushed Christians buttons in all the right ways, but he’s on fire right now with an eye for scoring and assisting. Is it really a conspiracy theory if CP doesn’t start Sunday? I think we can all agree that if that happens after mount and willians shocker last game, then we seriously have some weird stuff going on. If he did that to hazard we’d be just as confused.

Lamps has been good. Playing the youngsters took guts, but...given the circumstances, he was always going to be given a lot of leeway.
Losing to some shite teams (at home no less) throughout the season here or there is not “out fricking standing” in my book. I lived through the Les Miles decline, so I prefer not to have success be redefined at another sports team/club. Success is about titles and silverware. To hell with just being good. Chelsea shouldn’t strive to be fricking Arsenal.

Hyperbole much?
Chemistry matters in the locker room. That chemistry can lead to success on the pitch. Hell, just where your locker is can matter. I simply pointed out that the Brits (led mainly by Mount) seem to have a hard-on for Pulisic. If you can’t see that in the play on the field, then perhaps you should put your pom poms down and pay more attention.

this is total nonsense and a completely paranoid overanalyzation of every small detail that could be taken negatively as it relates to one single player.
you anti-Mount bias is strong and very revealing. youve gone from thinking hes overrated and to now straight up calling him a locker room cancer and villain.

Either he’s missing pulisic on wide open runs on purpose or he doesn’t have the vision that people think he has.
Your choice

I mean, hes doesnt. I dont think anyone has especially praised Mount for his intelligence.
Hes been fairly selfish player all year. Its not just Pulisic hes not feeding.
Mount needs to take a big jump with the game between the ears, cause the talent and drive are there. Not a bad first season of top flight mins for him, lots to improve.

It depends on how you're defining intelligence. His positioning is pretty flawless. He's consistently in the right place. He's great at anticipating what an opponent is going to do, getting in passing lanes, etc. His decision making hasn't been perfect and his final ball could use some work, but he's definitely got a high soccer IQ.

We have had our share of titles and silverware. You couldn’t have expected either at the start of this year. There have been bumps along the way but Frank’s got us in a much better position now than sarri ever did despite his contribution to the silverware cabinet. Quibble over specific results if you must, but a top 4 finish, fa cup final, and knockout round CL is a fine result for a PL managerial debut on top of every thing else.
As for mount I suppose you can see whatever you want to see. If you don’t see Frank’s debut as anything other than out fricking standing though, I’m not surprised to disagree. I’ll put down my Pom Pom’s if you put down your argument to move the dressing room in order to improve team chemistry.
