When his name comes up, it just doesn’t feel like it to me.

The basketball bandwagon fans, who are very appreciated don’t get me wrong, are 5 times zones behind their own arse when it comes to appreciating 1 and done players. They hate Simmons and the hate Naz simply because they were 1 and dones. We have some growing up to do as a basketball fan base.

It’s about attitude and appreciation for LSU. Simmons dogged LSU on his way out the door, which pissed off a lot of people.

I don’t care, but some do.

Naz has done nothing like that as far as I know.

Right or wrong, fans want the players to love LSU as much as they do. Leave when you want, but don’t dis their school.

No he didn’t that story about Simmons badmouthing LSU on his doc was made up here on the Rant. I watched the thing and I have no idea where it came from unless it was his comments about players not having to go to college that was turned into LSU which would’ve also been done here.

Honestly, it’s hard to get attached to talented players such as Simmons in the sport of college basketball. With football, we see them here for at least three years. The one and done thing kind of takes that aspect away.

Simmons doesn’t deserve the hate he gets, it was widely known he was 1 and done.

He was a mediocre player on a bad team. What is there to recognize?

Simmons and Naz are not equal, even if Simmons is a better player. Simmons outwardly loathed his time at LSU (maybe justified).

Simmons is no LSU-guy

You’re 100% correct but Naz receives plenty and what’s even more telling is the way he was hammered by fans all season long just because we knew he was leaving.

Simmons disagrees with the NBA rules and the college structure of taking players likenesses making millions with it and the player not receiving a red cent. That has nothing to do with LSU and people shouldn’t criticize a player if they don’t know that.

He was great at getting to the basket and getting rebounds. But he was terrible at defending, had no shot outside of the paint, didn't shoot free throws well and frequently disappeared when the game was on the line.

It's sad that I have to explain how he was mediocre. Just goes to show how few people actually watched basketball then.

He could’ve gone play a year overseas but instead he came to LSU and people are trying to say he hated this place? That logic just doesn’t hold up.
