What people fail to realize about these super teams is that you still need role players to compete for the title.

Even Golden State had some of their low key players contribute during the playoffs, as did the Heat when LBJ was there.

The Lakers roster will seemingly be 3 stars and a bunch of people that are bagging groceries today (inb4 John Starks)

In theory, the league having 40% of its players as FAs this offseason means that there should be more players than money to pay them, so cheap guys are available.

In practice, Rob Pelinka is the one nominally in charge of picking which players to sign. Remember LeBron next to Rondo, Stevenson, and Beasley last season?

Word. Even the Raptors had a different player step up in the Finals every game. A big 3 where 2 have major health concerns trying to play nearly 100 games at high minutes per game is a disaster waiting to happen.

I think most people realize this. Except the Lakers.
