760 HP and 625 fl/lbs of torque from a 5.2l supercharged V8

Was hearing rumors of a turbocharged powerplant for the 2020 but they decided to stay with the blower. Do have to say, that much power from a 5.2L is awful impressive. Wonder what kind of wizardry Ford will have to put that much power to the ground?

The power race has to end somewhere in the future.

Yea, 700+ from the factory is really starting to flirt with not being derivable

i remember telling my old boss "horsepower is so cheap these days" a few years ago and it's kept on trending the same way

And I get that the Demon has a little more hp than 760 but for some reason Ford has always done a better job as far as acceleration goes putting the power to the ground. Amazing feat with IRS.

I find it interesting that this has more power than the Ford GT. Granted, they are targetting two very different demographics.

people get 1500+ from the same engine and the old 5.0 coyote all the time, Boost is all you need

760 HP on a street car is so fricking ridiculous. Bad arse but still ridiculous.

P/W ratio is like night and day, though

Valid point, but the average consumer doesn't pay attention to that and looks at the mere HP numbers.

The HEMI is an archaic design to begin with. FCA had to boost the shite out of that engine to reach the 797 tally.

6.2 pushrod V8. Curb weight is about 4500 lbs.

Not going to lie, I'd drive the shite out of any of the recent GT500s.

yeah I know but those drag cars have dedicated suspension setups for maximum weight transfer.

Guy I know is running high 7 second 1/4 mile with his.
