heard it was "heavily protected"

- how protected top 5,8,10?
- protected by whom Cleveland or Atlanta?
- what happens if it fall within the protected range, do we get any future picks?

Top 10 protected by Cleveland, highly likely to convert into 2021 and 2022 seconds.

BTW, that pick was sent out by Griffin as Cleveland GM to get Kyle Korver a few years back.

We have to root for Cleveland big time next season. I doubt that there will be 10 teams worse than them next season, but we are huge Darius Garland fans now. It's funny, because if Garland is, say, NBA rookie of the year, lots of people on this forum will be saying "I told you we should've taken him instead of trading the #4 pick!" But if he's awesome enough to keep Cleveland out of the bottom 10, then he'll earn us a 1st-round pick next year.

There will be no more than three teams worse than them, tops.

Even if multiple teams win the lottery behind them, they’re still picking in the top ten.

There’s a pretty good chance Bielein Chip Kellys this team if what the analysts I heard last night are right.

don't think the Cavs will make it out of top 10 so in reality its prob just 2 seconds. hopefully part of a future trade for a young vet .

I think you’re confused. They’d have to give us value to take Love.

It happening weighs heavily on Cleveland winning and/or teams in the back half of the lottery jumping them.

The only reason Dallas was 10 this year is that they lost coin flips with us and Memphis then us, Memphis, and the Lake Show all got drawn in the lottery.

Not impossible, but unlikely given how bad the bottom of the east is.

If it conveys into 2 seconds will the first one be in 2020 or 2021?

The Pelicans have a chance at getting this pick. All it would take is Love playing like an All-Star, Sexton's game improving, and Garland having an impact like Mitchell did in Utah his rookie year.
