While I agree that Tadlock is an excellent coach, he is having great success at his alma mater. It’s not going to be easy to pry him away from that if it’s possible at all

LSU Baseball, unlike basketball and football, is an legitimate top 3 job in the country. The combo of fan and regional support, funding, and facilities are second to none. I think any coach would be crazy to not consider Coming here.

Well PM wasn’t lsu’s First or second choice if that tells you anything. I suppose some coaches would turn us down considering the expectations here. Just read the rant on an inning by inning basis

Nah. That may have been true 10-15 years ago, but not anymore. Tadlock makes $700K per year. CPM makes $1.1. Texas Tech would surely match that. Unless we were willing to pay wayyyyy more than he’s worth, he’s not leaving Texas Tech.

I’m sure he would consider it. But he has a great contract and is having great success at his Alma mater. What could we do to sway him to leave home?

Is it possible? Maybe, but it’s highly unlikely.

I think when Paul retires we need to back the brinks truck up to his house but even then I’m not sure he leaves
