Did you watch Duke play this year? Barrett was the focal point of the team. Here's his numbers next to Zion. While he is NOT the prospect Zion is, RJ is most defiantly a stud and proved to be one of the best players in college basketball this year.

Jesus what an awful take. It's like you didn't read anything in that link you posted

These was a weird thing to reply to, but I'm glad you did, because I want to reiterate that I still think a deal with Indiana is possible, and I still think that there's a chance that it happens.

Show me where I went wrong then.
Are you saying RJ is junk and not a stud basketball player, or that he wasn't the focal point of duke's basketball team for the majority of the season?

Zion was the focal point and glue of that team. If you watched Duke play at all before and after his injury, you would have seen that.

And team ratings clearly show that

I dont think the stats show that since Barrett averaged 5 mins more a game and took 200 more shots that Zion and had way more assists and turn overs. Roughly the same rebounds.
But the stats dont mean everything. But Clearly RJ handled the ball far more often then Zion. Zion just dazzled your eyes because he's amazing.
The discussion with SFP was whether or not RJ is a stud basketball player not if he is better than Zion. He is a stud he is not better than Zion.

Holy shite you can't be this dumb

Thankfully you just explained how much more efficient and better Zion was then RJ

If you think RJ barret sucks you’re an idiot. He has demar derozen potential easy. And could be wayyyyy better, he can handle the ball really well. He will be good.

Rj will be good but he has 0 right hand skills. He can barely dribble with his right.

Y'all are getting panties in a wad. RJ likely won't suck, and no where did I say he would, but it's completely asinine to say that RJ was the bread and butter of that Duke team over Zion

Dude he was. They built their offense around RJ. Zion was the cleanup man.

RJ is a SG, who may develop into a combo guard.

Zion is a freak who could play 1-4. But they didnt use him that way at Duke.

Turner would obviously be good for this team.

Re: thread hijack, not surprised. Louisiana is a football state, and the rant/pels talk is loaded with opinions from folks who really dont know jack shite about college or pro basketball

I’m glad to see at least one other person thinks RJ is a good basketball player.

RJ is nice. Hard to argue he wont be good. I see his floor as a gordon hayward, which is pretty good.

His ceiling is high. Dude is a beast. Everyone forgets about him because of Zion.

Its almost like people dont realize that both him and Zion dunked from the free throw line in that clip that went viral. They literally both did it. Zion is just more hyoed but RJ is a beast too.

There is a reason this draft was considered a 3 player draft.

R.J. was more than a foot inside the free throw line, but it was still impressive.
