now it has overcrowded classroom trailers all around campus, metal detectors at the doors and regular drug raids.. I’m just wondering if the ot knows where it went wrong?
Pointe Coupee Central closed down. Only public school left in the Parish was Livonia.

I remember when Livonia and port barre were considered pretty good schools Thats when they were smaller schools not like now.

This is 70% of it, surely. The other 30% is CHSPC is now $10k/yr and I'd imagine FRA is right there, too.
LSU cost me $1,500/ semester (tuition only) back in 90s for comparison.

Livonia was a country school with approx 65% white. Then pointe coupee central closed, which was 95% black, because if was failing and all the student then went to Livonia.

I think they shut down a lot of the other schools in PCP and so they had to get bussed to Livonia. My Dad and other kinfolk graduated from there, plus plenty of my cousins. Its definitely changed a great deal in the last ten years or so.

FRA is 5k/yr and CHSPC is not twice the price of FRA

I dont know False River Academy aint nothing to brag about. FRA has the feel of that school where all the teachers are most certainly banging a student or two. CHPCS is their best option probably

PCC closed.
Livonia is the only regular public HS in Pointe Coupee...Which is a large parish (in distance).
There’s a magnet school now where PCC used to be at, and it’s gotten pretty popular.
And you have Catholic-PC and FRA.
ETA: When all the public HS was consolidated into one school (PCC), Livonia was supposed to close too, but the town folk fought back against it and left Livonia open.
Got a lot of friends that went to Rougon HS.

Agreed. And i was a product of it. From what i hear, it's gone downhill and they are getting desperate for people to go there.

From what i understand, pcc was a newer campus but Livonia was the better school. So they closed pcc because the students were all failing and tearing up the campus.
Then they reopened pcc as the pc stem academy where the higher achieving kids do well and behave and take care of the nice campus. Livonia was stuck with the other students.
So livonia quickly tanked due to this.

North Iberville closed down. And while they were not a big school, the kids would have to go to Plaquemine High.. There were a handful of those kids who ended up going to Livonia (I guess signing up under a relative's address) because I think it is closer.
Plus, I think Pointe Coupee Central shutdown.
Livonia never really had a good football program until about 7 or 8 years ago. They suddenly became a consistent team.

And I think that I heard False River is close to shutting down. If it does, most of those kids will go to Point Coupee Catholic, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few from there will end up at Livonia.

Ok yeah, I was quoted 10k for both of my girls, which included the second child discount. This was 2014.
No Alumni discount, either.

That new STEM school is pulling kids from chspc and FRA. I was told they have to do a lottery now for admission.
