Do you have one? I still have the gate, I haven't returned it yet. I just don't see myself using it much because we will most likely be taking the entire 12' panel down by the steps when we swim anyway.
I would rather put that money towards a Dolphin pool robot!

I have a life-saver fence and a gate. I also have young kiddos, so it's convenient for me to just open the latch when we want to get in and out.
I'd say if you have kids, the gate is almost a necessity. If not, it may become a pain when you test the pool to unclip and undo a panel pole each time.
