But the rant will want his arse GONE as soon as his batting average is sitting at around that same number.

Take that time with a grain of salt. While he does appear to have some very good tools, don’t forget that this is a showcase and not a game situation. He would never be able to get a time off like that in a game. The best times from the best catchers in the majors don’t have a time that fast during a game.

I really hate this next generation statistics crap. It’s like watching the NFL combine and talking about the difference in success rates on QBs because of a 1/8” difference in hand size. It’s just turning into a big dick contest on who can come up with the newest, coolest stat.
The dude was already crossing the plate before the ball got there. Not anywhere near actual gameplay.

Milazzo 2019 C has consistently been in 1.75-1.9 range since his sophomore year.

I could see a motion like that resulting in a lot of catcher’s interference calls.

Honestly guys, it’s the pitchers who need improvement. Our catcher pop times are good. The pitchers are slow deliverers.

He raked in the team USA tournament last summer against a bunch of Caribbean dude already in the minors.

I hope he really loves baton rouge. Because he's going to be highly sought after.

pop time

At what point does the clock start to record pop time and when does it stop? I'm not much of a baseball guy but I'd imagine it starts when ball is in his glove and when ball reaches 2nd base. Just not completely positive.
