Do as I say, not as I do. That's waffle joe in a nutshell.

quote:

Twice now he actually has said something I agree with (OMG) yet when it's mentioned, he completely skips over it. He'll avoid the question at all costs. He constantly strays from it and to take the spotlight off of that

You know it. He can't address those things because it will show what a huge hypocrite he is.

quote:

he resorts to the name calling and all the petulant things a kid would do. It's a tactic that is a last resort to someone that can't walk away but who also can't admit they're contradicting themselves.

Name calling is all he has left. He showed how immature he is when he threw a fit a week ago when Goldrush and I said the Burrow quit at Ohio State because of Haskins.

Doesn't matter why Burrow left Ohio State. Once he left he quit the team.

Extremely easy to get under his skin. He needs to grow up a little. Nah. He needs to grow up a lot.

Ah. Good to see that you admit that claiming there is any "national stigma" against Coach O is your own pure bullshite.

It's not at all. In fact, you never even addressed what I said when I initially explained what I was talking about. Here is what I said...
quote:

right now it doesn't look like the national pundits or opposing SEC fans think he can do it.

You then turned that into the AP polls and end of the year rankings from the 2018 season when I was discussing the future. The only bullshite around here is your inability to stay on topic because all you care about is twisting anything and everything into any way you scream "YOU'RE A HATER" as many times as possible.

You have been reading this board and participating in these threads for quite a while now. The running joke has been that when these football threads start to die down, someone posts something that gets it kicked back up again. That's what the post was meant for and I made that pretty obvious. You didn't even bother to ask my opinion on the matter, you just went into the usual leaps in logic to get to the point you wanted to discuss which I even agreed with you on about the AP Poll and football being a team game.

Had you bothered to try to discuss the matter you may have found out that I have been defending Coach O over on the SEC Rant when people from other schools make fun of him and laugh at LSU because he is our coach. But, I'm sure that doesn't interest someone that is only concerned about calling people haters and such. Why is it so important to you that as many people as possible hate Orgeron. What do you get out of it?

You are right, instead of national stigma how about national laughingstock? We went from them laughing about Les eating grass to them laughing about us hiring the Cookie Monster. So instead of chanting we’re #1 we should be proudly chanting we’re #15?

Or chanting Les Miles is #30

So, big step up from #30 to #15 (if you buy into those clickbait off-season polls)

Eaux is a top 10 coach. He will prove it in the fall.

Exactly.

And he'll be proving it AGAIN since he had the #6 team in the only poll that matters - the AP final poll.

I was not pleased with the way the search was handled. I was not pleased with the hire. It was a very difficult start to his tenure, but he stabilized things and had a pretty good season last year when nobody really expected that.

Then had a great recruiting class.

Having another outstanding class and by all accounts has brought in a legit offensive mind to help mold the offense

I have to give the guy credit. He’s doing a really really good job.

I believe he has earned the right to be judged on what he’s done and doing here. Not his record at ole miss 12-14 years ago.

These silly names are just that, silly. As Jeaux keeps repeating, the man did finish with the #6 team and a NY6 bowl victory. He's proven that he's a good coach and better than these names people call him.

I like this. Confident and rational at the same time. You seem to be a really fair poster. We need more of that around here.

Likewise. We all have our opinions and most of us genuinely want the best for LSU. I’d like to think we could respectfully disagree and discuss sports in a civilized manner.

As I said, Eaux would not have been my choice, but he’s done very well. Obviously, we need to be more competitive with a certain team that prevents us from winning our division, but overall he’s done well.

I hope to see an offensive spark we haven’t seen in over a decade this fall. I’m encouraged by the direction of the program.

Maybe if you quit giving support to rabid O-Bashers like Bird, Mad, Earl, Gold, Fat, and Damone, we would get more like Rosenblatt.

As it stands, every poster who stands up for Orgeron's substantial achievements gets attacked by this group that you are very cozy with.

I go on Big-10 boards and PAC-12 boards. The only place I see Orgeron get disrespected is on TD. By your pals. NO ONE on those boards are laughing at O. They are impressed with what he is doing at LSU!

meh...

losing 4 and 3 games while having one of the worst offenses in the sec got the last coach fired.
now it's labeled as,"doing very well".

the moving of whats expected at lsu is the only way the 2017 and 2018 seasons could be called doing very well.

i didnt even mention that he is averaging the 4th best class in the sec over his tenure.

As I said, things got off to a tough start. It would have been very easy for things to crash and burn. Orgeron didn’t let that happen.

Won 10 games last year and had a great class.

Things were not trending in the right direction under Miles. Everyone saw it.

It feels like we are headed back in the right direction now.

I don’t appreciate you taking one or two words from my entire post and selectively arguing those words.

Please reread my entire message.
