I'm to the point where I'd take Tatum, Smart, and 14, rather than take Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, 4, and 2 future picks, or whatever assets we can acquire by flipping those.

I would also tell the Lakers that they better figure out a way to shut RP up, or I'm not answering the phone when they call.

This will go 1 of two ways. Either the Pelicans accept a deal for the best young player on the table(Tatum) and the package around him or the Lakers pull a rabbit out of their @$$ and find a 3rd team to land a player like Beal to make their offer enticing.

The Lakers would have to meet everything on the list for Griffin to send him to a Western Conference team that the Pelicans aren’t fond of.

Make no mistake, this is Boston’s offer to lose. Every other team is probably just noise at this point.

This is why I could never do that job well, I'm too proud.

I'd 100% be on the phone with the Lakers today and telling them whatever framework we discussed, they need to now add a 1st rounder or 2 to that to pay the Rich Paul tax, and like you said, they'll need to shut him up or the demand will raise.

I'd be so bad at that job.
