What I remember most from 90s commercials is whenever there was one for a board game, there was always some corny arse goober looking kid at the end of the commercial who says ‘I WINNNN!’
Don’t know why, but that always got on my nerves

Okay, this is a long shot but there was a board game from the 80s? Maybe 70s?
Had dragons and ships and wooden pieces...I remember the older kids playing it at my babysitters when I was a wee lad.
But for the life of me I can’t remember the name
