The RoboRock S5 by Xiaomi was literally the best $500 bucks I ever spent. After watching countless reviews, youtube Vacuum wars, and scouring reddit. I opted for the S5 instead of the high end Roomba.

I am floored at how much shite that Vacuum picked up. I have a German Shepherd who sheds EVERY WHERE. THE S5 handled with ease.

The app is great, the mapping, and spot cleaning is also amazing. Google home support as well.

If you were on the fence just buy it.

I've killed several roombas, this go around I picked up a shark ion with the dust buster like vacuum too for under 250$ at Kohls on a sale.

I’m not speaking to any particular model as much I am to these vacuums in general. They are GOD sends. No matter how much I clean my house, this thing always shows me how much shite it still laying around that I didn’t get. I’ll never not have one of these again.

How do the cliff sensors do with dark carpeting/flooring?

I had to disable the cliff sensors on my Roomba because I have some dark colored rugs and those look like holes to the Roomba.

How does it do in this instance? Is dismantling & cleaning easy? Do they cover these in those Vacuum wars videos?

Couple places in my house I know where to look when I get home and don’t see it on its base. Also likes to get hung up on charging cords and other random small shite my wife can’t seem to put away.

Neato D5 owner, I love it. Definitely worth the price if you get a good robot vacuum. Don’t get a cheap knockoff though

Thanks, just ordered after reading more about them.

Interestingly Amazon has the Roborock S5 for $570.

Walmart has the Roborock S50 for $470.

They are the same thing. S5 is the family and the differences are cosmetic. On Amazon when you order the S5 you get the S50. So I ordered from Walmart, obviously. Amazon is trying to sneak one by.

I can't wait to buy a nice one. I bought probably the cheapest one you could buy that was alexa enabled and it definitely cleans but it really can only handle one room. I can see why getting something nicer would be incredible. I'm pleased with my budget model for now...

I have an old 2015 model Roomba. It picks up a lot of dust from the tile. It's supposed to have edge detection but it will get stuck in the utility room or try to go in my shower. I've just had to close the bathroom door and utility room door and it seems to do fairly well.
