If it holds it will most definitely hit either the northern suburb or KC proper.

quote:Ahh, Stillwater was a fun little town late 80's early 90's my 1st job after LaTech. Actually ran into an acquaintance from Tech there at Eskimo Joe's one evening partying with my office mates. Her Dad was my Econ Prof, she was in grad school at OSU.

but I live in Stillwater
My condolences.
Nice little clear lake just west of town was great for bass fishing and bikini watching the co-eds. Rural Elec. Co-op for power at apartment complex so when the tornado hit and took out the town power, and all the food places included, I was fine and near the mexican food joint out west of town that got ALL the business for a week or so since they were the only place with power. Nice clean town, fresh air, a lot like the Ruston area but cleaner and hardwoods instead of pines and a slightly friendlier people. Not too far from either Tulsa or OKC for shopping, other city-fied resources.

Debris is falling from the sky from this tornado as far away as Tonganoxie, KS!
Take shelter now if in the path!

At 6:25 PM CDT: SE #Lawrence #KSwx just took a hit from what is likely a violent #Tornado This is clearly one of the most incredible radar presentations of a tornado so far this year. Very deep rotation to near 50,000 feet.

Hope this thing falls apart soon

Luckily it's not further south or it'd be even worse. North/northwest KC is much less populated than west/southwest.

Bonner Springs either right north or right at the city.
Rotation dying a little bit from SR Veloc
Edit: Nvm flaring up again

It's a bit less populated but if it jogs north it's headed for KCI
Posted on 5/28/19 at 6:52 pm to lsuman25
Yep! heading straight for Bonner. Hope those folks are inside will be on top of them in 5 min.

The large tornado is still on the ground and is approaching Interstate 70!
We expected it to cross the interstate near the the Leavenworth and Wyandotte county border (just west of the KS Speedway) right around 7 PM CDT (or shortly after).

He won’t have to fake the wind speeds this time

Get everyone evacuated before then and we can just move up the start date for the new airport

Motherfricker. If this thing hits Sporting Park I'm going to be so pissed.
