I cannot figure out how someone calls the Bible fiction when there are so many books in the old testament written at the time as prophecy that has already been proven correct and came to pass. It's like they are brainwashed and programmed into saying these asinine statements.

There were philosophers in the 18th and 19th centuries who advocated rejecting religion. Heaven was seen as a form of Utopia. Without the concept of God or heaven then Utopia could be created on earth.
The recipe for that required the perfection of the individual. Since the individual is imperfect, only the state can force this to happen. The state has the moral right to do so because individual achievement and happiness only comes from the state ('you didn't build that').
The leaders of the state will not abuse their power because only the brightest and most just will be selected for leadership.
What could possibly go wrong?

So far, we have had several people chime in but NON are willing to answer the question.
They have no answer to it. They have no path.. no plan. Living in the moment.
It is hard to provide a “plan of action” to take after “killing” a religion, when there is no “plan” to kill it to begin with.

You're asking people incapable of thinking if they have thought that far.

Because it's easier to reject the authority of something that tells you what to do with your wallet and zipper if you label it as such.

“The Left” isn’t killing Christianity, you dimwit. Young people are killing Christianity because it’s a preposterous Bronze Age middle-eastern creation myth that makes zero sense.
People have more information and access to the world, and magic stories about rib-man and dust woman just aren’t believable.

There was a lib on another board going on about how the world will one day be "one giant country for everybody".

Have you thought PAST that point. Most emotional people don't. So I'm asking.. have you?
There is a big difference between not wanting someone to dominate your life (read blue laws) and destroying them.
Many people just dont want religion to control their body or their lives. If others chose to do so, okay.
The other issue is that this board treats Christianity as monolithic with one political party.
We have plenty of Christians in the Democratic party. The difference is what people prioritize. Many Leftwing Baptist prioritize fair and hospitable of your fellow citizen over the issues of abortion for example.
But if Christianity died, it would just be replaced by a different belief system. Human civilization existed long before Christianity. Actually, many historians agree that Christianity was one if many factors that collapsed Rome.

Yeah, that's from the 70s. It was called WOMP. World Order Model Project. If wars are between nations all we have to do is abolish nations and live in World Land. No more war.
They forget how many wars are fought by different factions within one nation.

They don't know that the plan will be a sudden drop from a tall building once the Muslim overlords get in charge.
Posted on 5/26/19 at 1:42 pm to Jjdoc
What are they going to do when Islam fills the vacuum?

What took him so long, then?

IThe abolishment of the Holy Spirit which enlightens man to his need for the Savior would be the only way to “kill” Christianity; so, I would have to first ask you the question, “How is God going to be killed?”

Organized religion of all types is dying a slow death as the average person gains more access to information.
