Will the weekend rotation be Hill, Henry and Marceaux? Is Walker coming back?

We will throw the 3 best, healthiest arms, available.
Walker should be back. If healthy, the staff has a chance to be good. I thought we would have the best staff in the SEC this season, and injuries prevented that from happening. I'm not going to get my hopes up for next season that everybody will finally be healthy.

I bet Walker starts the first game of the year. CPM usually goes with seniority for that game. Then some combination Henry and Marceaux.
Henry Walker and Marceaux will be your weekend rotation to start the season. I don’t know what order depends on fall and spring practices. Hill will start out as your midweek starter probably. Still too far out to really know.

Here is a list of all (I think) the pitchers with eligibility remaining and the incoming recruits:
Caleb Gilbert
Zack Hess
Todd Peterson
Matthew Beck
Aaron George
Eric Walker
Nick Storz
AJ Labas
MaKhail Hilliard
Trent Vietmeier
Devin Fontenot
Jaden Hill
Cole Henry
Landon Marceaux
Chase Costello
Rye Gunter
Riggs Threadgill
Will Ripoll
Daniel Espino
Jimmy Lewis
Farmer Abendroth
Connor Phillips
Brandon Kaminer
Easton McMurray
Jacob Hasty
Thomas Wilhite
That is 27. I don't think we will have 20 pitchers on the roster next year, probably 18 or 19. Gilbert probably won't come back since he graduated. Hess and Peterson will sign. And there is a good chance we lose 3 commits to the draft. That would put us at 21, so we might lose 1-3 due to forced attrition or offseason injury.
Hilliard, Walker, Henry, Hill, and Marceaux (and maybe Labas) all come back with weekend starter experience. Just having that many experienced pitchers back versus turning over the staff like we've done the last couple years sets us up for more success. (In addition to having experienced catchers next season)

Good post!
Only, I hope we upgrade the catcher position. Garza has been mashing lately, but we do not have championship level catchers.

Any shot Peterson stays?

Experience on the mound and behind the plate will help us next year. We don't need to go into a third season with a new starting catcher. We will keep seeing the same issues.

I don't see it.

with a healthy Hill Henry and Marceaux it will be a stellar rotation
Throw in Walker and LSU might have a midweek starter
Labas and Storz could come back
Fontenot back in bullpen
I think Costello has some upside as well, bullpen replacement for Peterson and Hess
That's not knowing any newcomers
Staff ought to be loaded if healthy
That should help take the burden off offense with a lot of newcomers and guys that will have to step up

Gilbert is a senior right?

We definitely need some left handed pitching as well! Of all the items people grouse about this is the one that was solely the responsibility of the coaching staff

Garza will be exponentially better next year with a year under his belt going through fall and spring practices. But yes there are 2-3 highly touted kids and hopefully LSU can hold onto one of them.

Next year pitching will put to shame this year (fingers crossed)

Good list of potential SP and guys who should be able to take the ball for 5-6IP (or more). Hopefully add to the mix 1-2 FR arms who are ready to compete as SP, and you have quite the list to pick from. Over the stretch of a season some of the above players will also be invaluable in the BP.

Any chance we have a lefty or 2?

There are three on that list. McMurray, Hasty, and Kaminer. They will be a redshirt freshman, true freshman, and JC transfer Junior.
There are some talented JUCO lefty freshmen out there that aren't committed anywhere that could help with having another LHP on staff and with spreading them out from an eligibility standpoint. But I don't know if they're looking in that direction to add for next season.

I am hearing that 4-5 commits might take the draft, with 3 being almost certain.

From the list of pitchers specifically or the overall class?

Gilbert is a senior right?
When he was introduced last Saturday prior to the third game with Auburn, the announcer said Gilbert made the Dean's List every semester at LSU.
