No, it doesn’t hurt the most because of everything you just said. All of those things you listed played a factor. Baseball is a team sport. The lack of clutch hitting was the biggest issue tonight. 17 runners left on base should be what everyone is pissed about. That’s what lost us the game. I’ll also point out that while everyone wants to blame Broussard for one questionable play, he’s also a big part of why we even made it past South Carolina, and why were in the game at all against MS State. He’s made some big defensive plays and is batting .400 in the tournament, as well as .320 in conference play. One error that honestly could have gone either way should not be the end-all-be-all of why we lost that game, bottom line

A lot of these people have never played a team sport. They just call out everyone if we lose and it's that person's fault. Sometimes I wonder why i even try to explain things to them

What a game.
Would have been great to get the win but taking it to em for 17 innings after being down 4 is pretty awesome.
Geaux Tigers.

took advantage and got together a few hits and won then fine. But damn the winning run was strikeout that your catcher couldn't get out at first. Get that out you're still battling. Lost on a fricking error and another passed ball because your damn catcher couldn't CATCH. Try Mathis anywhere else but doesn't need to even sniff that position next year until he shows he can play it

Unless he somehow becomes a better hitter. He will take the road of Fedducia as one and done with LSU next year.

"Ain't no better time than now to dig in, boys."
- An Alex Box left field crooner in 1992, while we were getting blanked 11-0 by Fullerton.

Especially with Garza also being a sophomore and far ahead of him both defensively and offensively. Unless Garza's place is somewhere besides catcher.

Welp, I’m officially late for work. I turned off my alarm after the game ended.

For a team that many have said has no guts, no character and no fight; these guys sure fought like hell these last two games .

We have issues sure, but these kids showed me something.

I am admittedly a casual baseball fan. Watch most of our games, but don’t really get heated about it until postseason comes near. Usually Paul’s teams start figuring it out by then and we’re good for a run.

So can someone please explain to me why Hal Hughes is starting? Serious question, not trying to be a dick. Do we not have anyone that can replace him in the field? Because he is the worst liability I’ve seen at the plate in a long time for LSU.

- .195 BA
- .299 OBP
- .211 SLG
- Only 2 EBH! 2 doubles, no triples, no HRs
- Only 10 RBIs? That is HORRENDOUS
- 25 hits and 25 strikeouts
- .964 fielding %, which is pretty solid, but it’s not some elite number.

So I ask again, do we just not have anyone else that can replace him in the field?

This team is most definitely a two seed, not a one.

Now is it still possible a two can host? I remember LSU hosting in the past as a 2 seed (1995, for one).

Last series he went in he seemed to have a hot bat
Looks like it is cooling off

I get why he was starting, not why he stayed in

3rd is basically Chris Reid and Hughes.

Reid is in a slump. The ump must have issues with the kid because he called ridiculous strikes on him (and a few others).

Hughes for his glove, can't hit. And occasionally makes errors you wouldn't think he'd make.
