I was watching this episode earlier and I love this show. This was my childhood and I learned a lot of real life lessons. Oh and Topanga!

I'm thinking about suing her for causing carpal tunnel. Would be the largest class action suit in history.

“And Then There Was Shawn” (Halloween episode) is one of the greatest TV sitcom episodes of all time. Not just for TGIF shows, for ALL primetime sitcoms.
It is pure genius and probably the most rewatchable BMW episode... it was BMW at the peak of its powers.
Honorable Mention: “The Long Walk To Pittsburgh”.

I just showed my son the Halloween episode the other day and he loved it. I didn’t care for the first season but the rest of the season was great. I love eric’s character in the later seasons as he was funny as hell.

Such a great show. Great chemistry between characters and Eric is hilarious. I’d watch an Eric spinoff.
I’m old enough that I shouldn’t have, but I did watch iCarly and the older brother on that show, Spencer, reminds me of Eric.

Show was all over the place. Cory's brother goes from cool, hip older brother to blithering idiot for the rest of the series in ONE episode. Cool motorcycle riding teacher disappears and is never mentioned again. Yet Mr. Feeny somehow manages to teach Cory in Jr. High, High School and college. What are the odds of that. And Topanga whilst madly in love with Cory made him wait to get into those luscious titties, yet sabotaged every other relationship Cory was in and cut his balls off for daring to see someone besides herself.
Fun Friday night hijinks when I was twelve...

I couldn't get into it when I was a kid. It was too rooted in reality I think

Every Christmas when a bunch of my cousins come in we watch the Christmas episode where Topanga stays with the family and takes everything over to make it about her

My dog has fleas
I was looking for the picture of Corey standing next to the celery poster, but this whole scene is great.
I can't wait till my kids are old enough for BMW.

I was always a fan of Rachel, and her present day exploits have been interesting as well...

Are you sure you were a child of the early 90s? Most of us didn't consume content through that lens
Shows, especially geared at kids, were campy as hell and unrealistic. Family Matters was one of the most popular shows at that time and had a machine that turned Steve Urkel into Stephan Urquelle.
TGIF was a (glorious) fusion of Saturday morning cartoons and prime-time comedy.

I was born in 92 - think my preference was just more into fiction. Shows like full house and BMW didn't really hold my attention.

Eric on Singled Out is the most 90's thing I know.

I was an early bloomer with my interest in girls thanks to Topanga. Well. Topanga and Kelly Kapowski.

Makes sense... u definitely didn't hit 90s TGIF in the sweet spot of your formative years.

I honestly never liked BMW and thought it largely sucked, but even I remember laughing at this episode.
Only other part I remember finding funny was a flash-forward to a potential reunion (think it was a college episode) where Eric has the line "I married a moose; we don't need counseling" that my wife and so still quote to each other all the time.
