You try to point out to the few who are the epitome of the hedgehog from the 20 year study.
You try to have a rational conversation and they get condescending and refuse to take in all of the data they have. "JUST NARROW ONE TRICK PONIES"
LINK
Now we will see that start to speed up.

According to a survey of 219 companies by the American Chamber of Commerce in South China, a U.S. Chamber of Commerce-affiliated nonprofit representing over 2,300 American businesses in China, more than 70 percent of U.S. companies operating in southern China, the national hub for consumer product manufacturing, are considering either delaying investment there or moving production to other countries in order to keep the prices of final products stable for consumers.

Now we will see that start to speed up.

I told IB Freeman this would happen but he said the Tarrifs could come back to haunt us.

They certainly will be looking for other places to make their stuff. Why should that surprise anyone? They will have a hard time finding a country with the infrastructure to easily replace what they have in China but most will find alternatives.
The idea that moving to the less developed countries means that they will have better IP protection or better financing options is just laughable. They will have those same problems in places like Viet Nam.
This entire trade war is to help those US businesses in China. They want to stay but they want IP protection and the end of forced partnerships and more banking alternatives.
I don't want to pay more so those people will get those things in China but most here obviously do.

And that is EXACTLY what President Trump suggested they do.

Vietnam says hi, as does most of SE Asia.

Vietnam is putting it's money into infrastructure...not corporate espionage. They only have so much money so they have to choose (unlike your beloved China) and they seem to have chosen trade, not piracy. As such, your point is moot.

But this is obviously a problem for you people
Whatever you think the trade war is about if you have not read the 301 investigation directive or even Trump's memo JJDOC post a link too you do not know s***.

I don't recall one person stating that they WANT to pay more. They may have said that they would be willing to pay more in the short term if it meant meaningful change, but "want" to...no.
No pain, no gain. China is a formidable adversary and philosophically, they only understand brute strength from a global standpoint. In short, they can't help being who they are, and Trump can't help being whom he is. I for one, am thankful for his willingness to play hard ball. Imho..it's about damn time!

What change do you think you will see in the USA if the trade war accomplishes the stated goals of the 301 tariffs??
Not some crap you think is a goal of the tariff. Not even some crap Trump has said on the stump. The actual 301 goals that Trump acknowledged and officially outlined.
He said a lot of stuff about them that is closer to "Mexico will pay for the wall" than what he is actually, legally trying to accomplish.
Until you understand the official goals please refrain from spouting off about the trade war.

And you are the one the understands them huh??
You've resorted to your cheap attempt at "adults are talking" response, after you've been hammered for so long for not knowing jack shite about what will happen.
you are just a chicken shite that hedged his "collusion" bet wrong. Congrats. At least you have an inspirational President that can teach you how to dig back out of that hole.

If Nixon had never gone over there we wouldn't have to listen to IBChinaman today.

I don't know what to think about your post other than to say I find it hard to believe that you have ever stood up for yourself against a bully before. In short, if you punch a bully in the nose, be prepared to scrap. That being said, after it is all said and done, in my experience, you are not messed with again. In fact, if you find out that said bully is a paper dragon by beating them, then not only do you win the fight, but going forward, YOU dictate terms. I don't get how you lack this fundamental understanding of human nature. This "trade war" is not about 301 goals imho, it is about setting the stage for future negotiations. I find your lack of forward thinking telling.

Just quit Jimmy.
You and JJDOC have no understanding of this process and the legal implications of the 301 procedures. You have conjured up something in your mind without even trying to understand the process. Both of you are lazy posters.
Hopefully the trade war ends quickly but don't underestimate the cards remaining in the hands of the Chinese.
It would be a very bad mistake if we let this war escalate to the point that China starts to limit US companies to their markets. If, for example, China decides Trump is waging some kind of war (there is no proof of this--he may just be prolonging the tariff war as a political issue until the election) and decides to start canceling orders from Boeing it will be very bad for that company. Same for Apple and Cat. If those things start happening Trump will come under huge pressure to end the trade war.
It is just plain stupid to quit doing business with the largest population of people in the world. To stop trading with China benefits no one.
Vice Premier He wants to modernize China's IP laws and he wants to liberalize laws on investment in China. He has political foes in China just like Trump has here. He has opposition on this because the Chinese government doesn't want the competition.
What you people just do not acknowledge even though you been presented with the facts is that this trade war is mostly about US companies doing business in China.
You talk bad like you want to punish China for something but in reality you are supporting a trade war that in the end will help China by allowing more foreign investment in China and by creating profits for Chinese companies through stronger IP laws.
I frankly do not care about this and not a single internet warrior here has posted any argument that dispels this end game nor a single reason why Americans should be punished with tariffs to accomplish these goals. Goals that will benefit China as much or more than America.
Whatever you think this trade war is about forget it until you read and understand the 301 goals. You can read the link to the memo JJDOC posted and see what even Trump says officially.

Nixon was right to do it and probably had more influence on world history than any other President post WWII.

IB why do you insist IP theft only occurs in china, you think they still use wire taps? There are on going FBI investigations in all 50 states, are the United States now part of chini, as you wish them to be, or is it that they are stealing worldwide???
