Richard Stark's Parker novels

I've seen Duane Dibbley and at least one other TD poster mention these books in other discussions about noir, and I know Stark (Westlake) was an early influence on Stephen King.
So I picked up the first Richard Stark book I found at Half Priced Books, "The Man With the Getaway Face," which was the 2nd Parker story. Super fast read and pretty much exactly what I was in the mood for.
For those that have read the others, is it important to read the Parker novels in order, or are there any titles you'd recommend skipping ahead to? I don't see these much in used bookstores, so I'll probably be figuring out what to order online.
Thanks.

I am going through them quickly because my library has them available to download to phone and blue tooth in car The books try to give you background. The early books are better. my opinion:
The Hunter A+
The Man With The Getaway Face B+
The Outfit A
The Mourner A
The Jugger A+
The Handle reading it now.

Thanks. I may explore that route. Having trouble finding them in used book stores and we don't have any libraries in my part of town anymore.

You don't have to physically go to the library. Get a library number and then search for titles. Amazon has them for sale too.

I understand what you meant, I'm just a troglodyte and always enjoyed the treasure hunt of searching out hard copies. I have an account w/ my library that I use for dowloading journal articles; I'll look to see if they have the books available for download after I get through the current stack. Revisiting Raymond Chandler at the moment.
Thanks.
Thanks.
