No one else had the right to kill Dany.
Jon did.
Jon did.

It showed that despite his noble birth he is destined to live as a bastard. Did you want a happy Disney bow tie on top or some shite? The wheel was broken and his lineage was part of that. How would you have ended it?

So he could get close enough to Danny to kill her.
Try to keep up.
Try to keep up.

There are ways to give Jon the ending people wanted while still making it bittersweet. The very fact that he ended up killing a woman we were told he loves makes the ending to his arc bittersweet in and of itself. The two women he had loved most in his life both died in his arms. That's pretty freaking bittersweet and most definitely not a Disney-like ending.

Why was Jon even on show now? Who knew all you had to do was het pushed out of a tower and do nothing for 10 years and be the man.... totally against his character too, all he ever said was I’m not bran stark now, I’m not human... then they annoiny him king out of the blue and he says why do you think I did all this shite.... so stupid

So what would you have done after that? Sit him on the throne?
Posted on 5/19/19 at 10:17 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
I feel like I would have liked the episode better if Drogon had torched Jon
Posted on 5/19/19 at 10:18 pm to Croacka
He’s a Targaryen. He can’t be torched. Damn. Do you people even watch the show?
Posted on 5/19/19 at 10:18 pm to TigerDocLSU
Well he was the rightful king and it was known. It wasn’t like he was some random person. Jon never killed the “Mad Queen” because she never was the queen.

That’s a theory, but not explicitly true
Posted on 5/19/19 at 10:19 pm to TigerDocLSU
What was the point of his resurrection? People kind of questioned it asked like they were freaked out and then it came to nothing. That was hot fricking garbage the whole thing

Yes, there it is. I'm one of the MCU's biggest critics on this board, but even I can see they gave the characters in Endgame fitting endings. Jon didn't have to be king for me to have been satisfied with his character arc. But the ending they gave him was completely stupid when you consider that Bran banished him to the Night's Watch.
Newsflash, show writers, the Wall is no longer under Bran's jurisdiction as he literally just gave the North its independence. Why did they honor this banishment, especially after the Unsullied and Dothraki all left the continent on a ship just as Jon was about to leave King's Landing for Castle Black? His sister was made Queen of the North. She could have easily pardoned him as the Wall and the Night's Watch are technically hers now.
His ending made absolutely no narrative sense after you think about what had just transpired at that impromptu election.

And if they would have done that there would have been an equally huge melt about how D&D sucked off all the casual fans. Bottom line is there was no way to please everyone.

Maybe to gather the people to defeat the forces of the walkers? Maybe to kill Dany?
Posted on 5/19/19 at 10:23 pm to RollTide1987
His character arc was to unite the north and defeat the NK. Also he saved the seven kingdoms by killing Dany. He was never meant to become King.
It's highly possible Jon didn't want to come back with Bran being King and he always liked living with the Wildings

So his whole character has been a plot device for her, that’s your argument?

And that's the problem right here. We are left guessing as to why major events happened in a TV series with no explanation as to why they happened.
Who the freak was the Lord of Light? What did he want? His arc came to a close just as the Night King's did. He was invisible for the entirety of the series but since season two, he had been a major player in the events that were transpiring throughout Westeros.

That’s one of the ones who want zero criticism of the show
Posted on 5/19/19 at 10:26 pm to TigerDocLSU
Atleast it makes sense. The fricking king isn’t jailed and banished for killing a tyrant that just torched a whole city. Have him pass the power on or something. Anything is better than a literal comedy show to anoint Bran as king.
