Will LSU allow the full band to travel to any road games this season? The past few years, they've gone to the season-opening neutral site game, but there isn't one this season. I'd love for them to come to Austin, but that's not happening due to the reduced ticket allotment. I assume they'll go to either the Moo State or Ole Miss game, since they can travel by bus.

Will TEXAS allow LSU to bring the full band?

UT is giving LSU like 7 tickets to the game so I doubt they give our band more than enough space for 3 trumpets and a drum

One of my friends younger brother is in it, and I believe he said that the full band trip will be Vandy

It's not a matter of Texas allowing LSU to bring the full band. It's a matter of whether LSU wants to set aside 400 of the 3K tickets they were allotted. I don't see LSU doing that. I imagine there will be a very small (probably 50 members) pep band.

I hope LSU is only giving Texas 3000 tickets for them in Baton Rouge

I believe this is the case. It's only fair.

it would be embarrassing if LSU sticks a little pep band up in the end zone for the biggest non conference true road game in LSU history and the biggest non conference game of the year in college football. UT will bring it's full band to LSU

LSU's seats at UT are all in the upper deck. You won't even see the band. UT gave us the shaft, treating us like a DII school.

the upper deck in the north end zone is small and not very high up at UT - nothing at all like the upper decks at LSU and other SEC schools. The full band would have a huge impact on the 20,000 LSU fans throughout the stadium but a pep band like USC brought to Austin last year would not

Well, get ready because that's probably what's going to happen. I don't like it, but there's no way that LSU will give Tiger Band 400 tickets out of their already ridiculously small allotment. You will not be able to hear a tiny pep band very well in that stadium.

They may very well do that, but then they will be taking tickets away from their high dollar donors. What I don't want to happen is for LSU to give UT any seats in the lower bowl of Tiger Stadium, particularly if they bring their huge band. We should banish them to the upper reaches of the East uppers.

You think LSU fans will be able to snatch up that many tickets? I know quite a lot of LSU fans, many former GBFTL members from my time (99-02), who currently live in TX. Most of them try to attend as many games as they can. I'm just not sure how many tickets they'll be able to get their hands on.

USC and Notre Dame both had over 15,000 fans at the games in Austin the last 2 years and LSU will have more than that - LSU will also have an extra 10,000 fans who show up just to tailgate and hang out

I hope you're right. I know having a huge alumni base in Houston will help get more Tiger fans in the stadium. That said, UT is taking a page out of A&M's book in terms of ticket resale. Texas AD Chris Del Conte is asking UT fans not to sell tickets to LSU fans. They want to maximize their home field advantage.

Exactly. I know LSU fans will get their butts in seats IF they can get their hands on tickets. But will they be able to...?

I don’t even think my dad put in a bid for the game, think his TAF number is in the 7-800s.

I tried looking online a couple weeks ago because me and my little brother were talking about going. The shittiest seats are running $300+ a pop. Plus how expensive everything in Austin is anyway and my 25 yr old arse can’t afford it. Really would’ve loved to have been able to go but those tickets were ridiculous.

I have no doubt that LSU will have more than 3K fans in the building, but I don't think you'll see anything remotely resembling the UGA "takeover" of Tiger Stadium last season, simply because Texas fans may be more reluctant to sell their tickets. Then again, money talks, so it may be a matter of how much LSU fans are willing to pay.

I was thinking in the 5-8k range. But I hope our fans can find a way to double or triple that.
