Not a fan of either of these guys. Queen was brought in by FKA to facilitate the cash grab for the School of Music. It's no coincidence that the quality of sound and membership in Tiger Band has declined under their watch. As far back as I can remember, LSU has sent the full band to at least one road game.

Yes. If you include the color guard and dance team, they number close to 500 members.

I don't see UT bringing their full band to Baton Rouge.

If true, that's absolutely ridiculous and asinine!

We don't need the full band at Vanderbilt.

How about at Alabama? (Or one of the SEC West away games) ......

The School of Music (Dean Queen & Damon Talley) will not shell out "extra" $ for the band if they can get away with it.
Both of these clowns are overdue for the Alleva treatment. GTFO of BR.

BTW, I thought the Athletic Department funds Tiger Band away trips, not the School of Music......

This used to be the case, but I believe that FKA and Queen moved Tiger Band out from under the athletic department and under the School of Music. This was necessary so that the SOM could get their hands on the funds previously allocated to Tiger Band.

UT’s band director is a former LSU Drum Major from my era in TGBFTL. Friend of mine. I’m not putting his name on here.

I certainly hope they make that trip.

I wish that LSU had reached out to him when Frank Wickes left. I don't even know who LSU's band director is now that Liinas has gone. Did they hire a replacement?

I'm told it's Vandy, would've been Texas if Texas didn't put the bands in the upper deck

Tiger Band ain't what it used to be. NO chance they send the full band to Austin. It will be the 100 person band which you can't even hear

Ask any UT fan...

Ohio State brought 30k fans to Austin in 2005.

They had a pep rally at the Frank Erwin Center and filled all the seats (19k).

Buckeye fans probably had 20k at DKR.

LSU fans will be fine. We will get tickets on the secondary market.

The Athletic Department writes a check for the band and the School of Music decides how to spend it. This is an FKing decision.

Yes it was. It allows the School of Music to essentially steal money from the Athletic Department that's supposed to be earmarked for Tiger Band. Maybe Woodward can do something about it.

Here's the exact location of where the LSU band will be seated. I'd imagine it will also be the location for the LSU allotment.

Yes, the seating for the band will come out of LSU's ticket allotment. That's why I don't see LSU allowing all 300+ members of Tiger Band to attend. There will be either a 50 or 100 member pep band.

you can see how impressive a full band is in that small upper end zone by the pic hitman put up and you can only imagine how ridiculous a 50 member or 100 member pep band will look up there

You won't be able to hear them over the noise of the PA system and the UT band.

It is official that the full band is NOT going to Texas but instead a pep band is going. I talked to the LSU ticket office. You called it Louisiana Longhorn but i never saw this coming for such a huge game and a once in a lifetime road game (and so close)
