There would be zero blow back. Kawhi is better moving forward and wants to be in LA while not bringing all the drama.

kawhi seems like one of the rare NBA guys whose ego could handle playing alongside of lebron.

What do we really know about Kawhi? Until I can get a coherent account of the San Antonio situation, I’m not going to follow statements like this.

What does Phil Jackson and Kurt Rambis have to do with the Lakers? Besides former associations?
Posted on 5/14/19 at 9:22 am to SwaggerCopter
totally fair point, but if i had to pick nba guys whod place their egos aside to play with lebron, hed be on the short list... just a read i guess, not based on facts/evidence

They are dating/married to the owners

I thought Jeannie and Phil broke up.
OTOH, Linda Rambis is awfully close with Jeannie.
Having significant others with input on this process wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t notoriously awful at it.
Jackson’s time as a GM was an abortion and Rambis is one of the worst coaches of the past 20+ years.

Can bron’s ego handle playing next to kawhi? Leonard is better than him.

I hate they are in the West but I would die of laughter if Lakers traded Lebron to the Clippers and then LAC signs Kawhi.

Maybe we can send Zubac back to them

I had no idea Rambis was...interesting.

I'm surprised Ball has been so quiet after rejecting trade offers he has no say in. Maybe he has hope it will be his team now.

For aging cp3 and firsts in 2020 and 2022.
Sure.

Reading comprehension and deductive reasoning must not be your strong suit. My post clearly meant sign Kawhi and then trade him to the Lakers for LeBron.

according to who?

Your deductive reasoning is way off if you think in any way that any team would sign Kawhi and then trade him for Lebron.

To everyone. Especially if you have Lakers inside knowledge

Shams-
Michael C Wright-
Kevin O’Connor-
Jalen Rose-
quote:
Shams Charania told Colin Cowherd on The Herd that "it's been made abundantly clear there's not an interest [from Leonard] to go join a superteam. I don't think he's jumping for joy that LeBron James is in L.A. with the Lakers."
Michael C Wright-
quote:
Appearing on Brian Windhorst's podcast, ESPN's Michael C. Wright said he doesn't believe Leonard is interested in signing with the Lakers. "I do not," Wright said. "That's just what I've been told. It's what I've been told going back to last summer. I don't see that as something that's happening. I think he goes to the Clippers."
Kevin O’Connor-
quote:
And the latest report suggesting that is the case comes from Kevin O’Connor at The Ringer. There are whispers around the league that neither Jimmy Butler nor Kawhi Leonard wants to play with LeBron, and sources I’ve talked to would be shocked if Klay Thompson left Golden State. That might leave the Lakers with Walker or Middleton as their top remaining free-agent targets. If I’m the Hornets, that possibility would have me worried.
Jalen Rose-
quote:
According to Jalen Rose on ESPN’s Get Up program, if Leonard does indeed leave Toronto next offseason, it won’t be for the Lakers, specifically because the two-time Defensive Player of the Year doesn’t want to play in LeBron James‘ shadow.

Forget inside knowledge that's just common sense. Lakers are a shite show and there's many better options for Kawhi
