This writer is a moron. The Cavs are going to pay Beiein $10 million more for the lifetime of the contrct than he would have made at Michigan. Beilein is 66 and sees his retirment, but wnts to do a money grab first.

He just signed a five year deal at the age of 66, when his stock happens to be higher than ever. This means five years of being in the game with low expectations and not having to recruit ever again. I see this move as a sign that he’ll retire at 71.

How dirty it's getting? It's been dirty for decades. Football and basketball. He's just making excuses.

Beilein did just fine vs cheaters at Michigan, so I think he left because he thrives on being a rebuilder.
He left because he was tired of being second banana to Harbaugh and football despite have more success. Harbaugh and FB rule UM. Johnny Orr and Bill Frieder left for the same reasons.

This is true, They wouldn't cover up pedophilia at penn state and someone had to do it.

quote:By rogue, you mean hire a competent OC who could develop QB's and run a modern college offense, then GTFO of their way? Because on talent level alone, LSU under Miles was one of, if not the only team that could match Alabama strictly on talent. Miles wasn't lacking in talent, he lacked in offensive strategy.
It’s why LSU fell behind Bama in football. Miles refused to go rogue.

Exactly.
This is his sunset contract. No recruiting, getting paid a ton, to coach a team with low expectations.

LSU has the same recruiting practices as Alabama and Georgia, it's just that the bags they drop off are a little lighter than the ones coming from the other two.
Everyone is playing the bag game. It's all about who has the highest bid.
