I have an 8ft four-wheeler trailer that I've jack knifed twice with two different trucks, leaving dents in both of them
That thing is a nightmare if you are rushed.

Man the 8 footers are demonic.
Pure hell on earth.
Pure hell on earth.

Yeah, shite gets out of hand quick with those. I want to trade it for a 10ft now that its not being kept in my garage, and I have more room.

Same for me. You could screw up in a hurry with that setup...and I did often.

Completely agree. I towed a 28’ flatbed trailer for years when I landscaped and have had boats from 16’ to 26’ damn near my whole life. Could thread them threw anything. Bought a 6’ single axle for my 4 wheeler and I feel like a trailer virgin every time I back the damn thing up.

I literally spent my 90% of my work day watching the Qualified Captain instagram vids today. So much material. So much cringe.

An ex girlfriend of mine was trying to back the jet ski down a long boat ramp with her friend one day. We were watching them struggle from the camp. After a while, they gave up, and decided to unhitch they trailer and “walk it” down the ramp. Well as soon as the hitch came off the ball, the trailer went straight down the launch and into the water.

To avoid embarrassment, I loaded up my 5x10 into my F150 Pro Trailer Backup Assist. The damn thing works like a charm. Ive tested it in parking lot doing figure 8's in reverse and choosing a parking spot to back in. I dont care if I lose my man card, Im never backing that trailer without the assist on.

My dads barber mounted a hitch on his front bumper to launch his boat. I’d have given up fishing before being seen doing that.

You can hang at Fred’s or any bar by a boat launch and watch the same thing in real life It is funnier in real life.

Did he push it all the way to the launch?
We have the big forklifts in the boat clubs that push them around like that but never seen a home job that way.

Fred's is a good place to sip a beer and watch the learners.
Here's a story from about 100 years ago when I was about 18. I had my dad's 14' bateau/20 Merc on the trailer behind his '76 Buick Century, sitting in front of my friend's house.
We may have been drinking. Someone asked me to move so they could leave, and I kinda forgot the boat/trailer were behind me, so I jerk it into reverse and back as fast as any 18 year non-owner would do. Eventually I realize that the boat/trailer is perpendicular to the car. Oops.
Remember back then, those big rubber blocks on the bumpers, well it creased that trailer nice and gentle like. VERY bent. Fortunately no damage the Buick.
So next day, in a sober state, my friend insists that we jackknife it the opposite way and bend it back. What could go wrong? It ended up working perfectly! The galvanized finish was cracked badly, but touched up nicely with some gray paint.
Before my dad 2 years ago I told him this story and of course he laughed. He wouldn't have laughed back then... I know from experience.
