Thanks! Just read it.

I'm not a big fan of bamboo but I don't see any other options. I need height and I have a concrete driveway (limits me planting more hollys and I THINK would contain the bamboo)

There’s a house outside my neighborhood that has a similar setup. Driveway is about 10’ wide and it seems to keep his bamboo contained to one side...and it’s invaded his neighbor’s yard. The neighbor is usually dogcussing the shite out of the bamboo when I run that way. I’m fairly certain they used running bamboo and not clumping.

i totally get it. Nothing beats a field of bamboo stalks in a rock bed. it looks AMAZING.

my uncle told me after his bamboo attacked his neighbors relentlessly he would only ever grow bamboo again in a buried stainless steel bathtub with edges that were flush with the ground so he could see any runners escaping.
