Political Divisiveness and fighting a good thing?

It is common today to see people from both parties bemoaning the high level of partisan fighting in Washington and throughout the country.

It is obvious that the days of a collegial congress and cocktail party governance that dominated the last century are all but gone.

My question is....is that a bad thing?

Are we better off with 2 national parties who are equally represented and at each others throats or were we more free and secure when you couldnt really tell a democrat from a republican?

When the democrats have a majority, gridlock is a GREAT thing.

"A compromise between food and poison is death."

Now, I'm not saying that I wish all liberals ceased to exist. I'd have to think about that for several hours before saying it.

It's really hard to fathom that all of this started over a blow job in the Oval Office.

Honest political discussion and debate is great for the country, but what we currently have is not only self serving & childish, but ends up only benefitting the elected servant.

What is it when the GOP has the majority?
Is it a goose/gander situation or is partisan hypocrisy just the way of the world?

Would we be better off if there was no opposition party...if the government was simply right wing top to bottom? Does the left, however maddening you may find it, serve a valid purpose of a check on power?

Unfortunately when the GOP has a majority, they gridlock themselves. That's why they have Trump now, because they were useless.

Democrats used to love our Nation, Constitution and History, and were the Party of the under class/poor; my Mother was 93 and would curse "damn greedy Republicans" like GW Bush like he was Hitler.

No more. Dems have become Marxists/Fascist Authoritarians...who now champion pure Democracy ("mob rule") and encourage massive illegal immigration toward Obama's "fundamental change".

And hell no it's not good. Bloody revolution never is; a lot of fine folk go down in the maelstrom, and a lot of ruthless lowlifes survive. It's a hard trog back to prosperity.

Short answer we would be better off with out the left at this point.

The republicans have plenty of different views represented to self police.
