Lucky for LSU, the kids who choose to play for us have more chest than many of our fans

Not saying that the baseball team will be able to turn things around and make some noise this post-seasosn, but regardless of whether they do or don't, they are going to go out and compete more than many of the posters on here who have much less invested and much less to lose and yet have already given up on this season.
I understand this is a forum and no topics should be off limits, but until this season is actually over, these kids and coaches deserve more support than many of our fans here are showing. The saying goes, there is a season for everything, and we will have a long offseason to discuss the coaching situation if things don't improve. If things do improve, it will be in spite of the lack of the chest of many of our fans.
It is not accepting mediocrity to show support for a team and coaches that are struggling. It is keeping up our small contribution to the success of the team. Our changes in the offseason should be as bold as our play during the season, but right now when things aren't going well, complaining and criticizing others is the easiest thing to do.
It is amusing when people on this board complain about players not having enough grit. This Thursday this team will roll up its sleeves again and try to get a win. Regardless of recent results, they deserve our support.

I don't play on the team but I'm an alum and TAF member so I guess I'm allowed to have an opinion..
My opinion is that too many times this team goes out there and looks like they just don't give a shite. I understand we were trying to save arms last night so pitching would be shaky but we keep shitting the bed in these midweek games. It's not so much whether they "matter" or not.. it's that LSU should not continue to lose to inferior opponents. But as many others have said.. they are a reflection of the head coach.. who appears to not give a shite when he's in the dugout

Do they? I guess we'll see. So far this season, I haven't really seen it on a consistent basis. I have seen none of the fire/determination/swagger that the usual LSU baseball teams have from this group. They all seem to be really good people and are great with the kids, but i don't see any real vocal, determined, fiery leaders.

No - you're right (not sarcasm). I believe that he cares, but he just doesn't seem to have the fire. Maybe that's just how he is now. Whether it's intentional or not, I think his demeanor trickles down to the team. I don't doubt that he genuinely cares, but it may be time for a change.

Well.. you can go but you might be the only one there. The rest of the fans will be in Arkansas

Doesn't seem that way after losing by 12 to inferior instate program.

The ones who just got hammered by LA Tech?

they don't look inferior when we play them. it actually took longer for Nolan Cain to get from the dugout to the 3rd base coaches box than it did for the Tigers to get 3 outs in the 3rd inning last night. Truth.

They haven't shown chest thus far.

Arguable.

Winning solves all whether you like it or not. Doesnt matter the team or sport.

Would you call all the suite purchases, donations, sponsorships, etc. small?
