in need of a good turtle recipe!!!!!!! Got six lbs of fress snappin turtle boneless

season the meat
sear the meat on MEDIUM heat until dark brown.
take meat out of pot
add onions, bellpeppers, and garlic
sautee
add turtle back into the mix
add water
boil until gravy is thick

Suires grocery store in Cow Island makes the best turtle sauce picante ever. Look up the recipe online.

One smidgen of advice..brown the hell out of it and when you think it's browned enough, brown it some more. As for ingredients, what do you use in a brown gravy? The trinity and garlic will do fine..it's not complicated, except for the browning of the meat...

There's probably hundreds, if not thousands of recipes on line for turtle soup, etoufe or sauce piquant. You can pick and choose, especially ones with videos to watch the process.
