I ask this in regards to a player not on your favorite team. I was all about Kawhi when he was on the Spurs. Watching him dominate this postseason almost hurts.

I won’t lie. I don’t want to see him win a title. In due time, maybe I won’t care. I didn’t burn jerseys of him after he bailed. They are stuffed in the back of a closet.

I don’t understand the makeup of people who just follow KD, Lebron, etc from team to team. I can respect a dude’s game, even like the player a lot...but people slobbing on the knob of a guy who isn’t on their squad is pathetic.

It’s very different when you’re a fan of a team first

Kawhi treated y’all like crap. If I were a Spurs fan, I wouldn’t want to see him win either. I think it would be extremely different for you if Tim Duncan ever left in his career.

Players loyal to $$$. Fans loyal to team.

I’m a big Mavericks fan but what does it hurt if I follow Lebron on the side and root for him wherever he goes?

It is really weird to me for someone to be a fan of a player instead of a fan of a team like normal people. This is much more of an NBA thing than it is in any other sport.

I lived in Cleveland for about 15 years and still talk to some old buddies from there. They didn't suddenly become Lakers fans this year.

I think now with social media, technology etc
You’ll see more fanboys of just one player than of teams and it will only get larger as time goes on

My city doesn’t have a NBA team so I will follow who I want to follow.

Equating fanboyism to this is more pathetic tbh.

Even worse than the people who are fanboys of certain players are the ones that become fanboys of the team that their favorite players go to. No loyalty. Those shmucks that were Cleveland fans, then Miami fans, then Cleveland fans again, now are Lakes fans are terrible human beings.

Dislike fans of teams with no connection whatsoever more

Well mostly Yankees, Patriots Red Sox and Lakers fans who picked them because they’re good
