Sally has 11 pairs of socks in her drawer. Each pair is a different color and design, but they are not together as pairs; they are just in her drawer scattered about. With her left hand, Sally reaches in and picks one sock.
a. While holding that one sock in her left hand, Sally reaches into the drawer and picks another sock. What is the probability of her getting a sock that will match the sock in her left hand?
Just want to make sure I'm doing this right?

There are 21 socks left in the drawer. Only one is the one that matches the first sock. So one in 21 would seem to me to be the answer, unless there's some weird Monty Hall-type twist I'm missing.

Ha, it's actually a doctoral level stats class I guess to help get ready for dissertation. I haven't had a formal math class in probably 15 years. I had 1/21 or .0476 but it seemed too easy so just wanted to make sure I wasn't being a moron and missing something.
