No, I used to do contract work at the Air Command and Staff College so I mostly observed them with their peers. They were obviously sharp, motivated dudes, but if not for the flight suits most of them came off more like IT guys. Again, not knocking them, I just agree with the guy that the popular perception (Maverick and Iceman types) isn't typically the reality. And that's actually a good thing.
They may not be Iceman and Maverick but they aren't IT dweebs by any stretch. Probably on their best behavior because they were at school.

I jump out of planes. No need to fly.

as I mentioned, playing to the audience was out on the boat a couple of days ago with a few former aeronautical assassins, you would have thought it was a pirate ship

I could land on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun on NES. Pretty sure that qualifies me to be a fighter pilot.

2020 vision to start
Top 10% of military flight school
There are more pro baseball players than there are fighter pilots in the us

I spent 15 years in carrier aviation. Never met a pilot I considered nerdy. Met some arrogant douchebags, for sure, but no IT guys with wings.

My cousin went to Annapolis, he’s flying f-35s now, total douche canoe, fighter pilots can get away with it though.

Go sign up with the Air Force and let us know what they tell you afterwards.

I will grant you that there are some extremely technical, anal, wrapped a little too tight around the axle guys, some may tip the scales in the nerd direction, but they are not to be fricked with either, cold blooded killers
