The article states kids today get 2 rounds. Kids before 1989 didn't. That's the reason why a booster might be needed.

You can get a blood titer drawn and it can tell you if you need a booster.
I had to have titers drawn before one of my nursing jobs about 14 years ago and it showed I needed a booster MMR shot, but not for measles but for mumps(MMR stands for measles, mumps, rubella).

It’s not anti vaxxers. Measles has been eradicated in America. It has to come from somewhere else now. You know where most of it comes from? Illegal immigrants. Illegals come from places where measles and other vaccine illnesses are still very prevalent bc they don’t have clean water or clean food or good hygiene. When they come, they carry the illness or they have it themselves. Then it spreads in contact with other people, many of whom have vaccines. Most of the places with measles outbreaks have large illegal populations

While that may be partly true, if a population is vaccinated, and someone brings it in from somewhere else, nothing happens to the vaccinated population. But if part of that population is not vaccinated, then the risk increases.
Either way not vaccinating your kid is really irresponsible and that's the point.
