MB Musicians: What's your favorite cover song to play?

I gigged for a while when I was in college and we did "Middle of the Road" by The Pretenders and it was always one of my favorites on the set although many people didn't know it. We have started doing "Black Cat Moan" by Beck, Bogart, Apice and got a bunch of blank stares most of the time.
For you cover band guys, outside of the normal "obligatory" cover songs that most venues like to have, what are some songs you put in the set just because you enjoy playing them?

Sultans of Swing is probably my favorite but I play it with a pick. I would like to learn it clawhammer-style the way Mark plays it.
I also really like the song Carnival by Natalie Merchant. I know that seems random but I've always liked the way the guitar part moves up and down the neck. Has a slippery, almost Keith Richards feel to it.
Ten Years Gone by Led Zeppelin is another good one.

I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not but we played this at Fred's a couple of time and it brought the house down. Its weird how the singer looks like Matt Damon in Euro-Trip.

Some of my favorites I’ve played over the years:
I Believe in a Thing Called Love
Cult of Personality
My Friends Over You
I’ve been trying to convince my band to play “Scotty Doesn’t Know” for years

My band tried to play "That's The Way" by Led Zeppelin one time. Our bassist was so shitfaced that he couldn't even stand, and had to sit down during the song. The whole set just completely died at that point. Real low point for the band. Thankfully, that was like 3 years ago and we haven't had anything like that happen since.

I Am The Walrus - Beatles
Gene Genie - Bowie
We don't do many cover tunes, but we tend to bust these out when an encore is called for.

I tend to do better with (non-Travis) fingerpicking stuff on acoustic. I should probably look into the Knopler or Buckingham electric finger styles - I think both cats were self-taught at that.

Here's Why Matt Damon Shaved His Head and Sang "Scotty Doesn't Know" in 'EuroTrip'
I was being sarcastic earlier but that is a pretty cool read. I have always wondered why he shaved his head, but that makes a lot more sense now

So do I. For example, I can play some Will Ackermann fingerstyle songs on acoustic. Bron-yr-aur is another example. But for some reason it doesn't feel right on electric.

bob, please. nobody in the bayou bullets is sniffing any of the 7 solos in that song. as your pro bono booking agent, i strongly advise you to at least be able to play 80% of a song before covering it.
