If Ruby improves as much this next year as this past year,, I think she will be SPECIAL.
Also, I really thought Edney improved drastically on her weaknesses this year? Hopefully she will continue that improvement!
I look for Ferrer to make a huge move this year!
Also really look for drastic movement by Christina.
Sami will be much more solid also I believe.
With Kirby coming back what can we expect from her?

TB357,,, would you address the thoughts above with your expectations??

Do the girls tend to get a lot better each year after they arrive at LSU? Or are they pretty much at the top of their game when they arrive as freshmen? I mean, I'm sure they grow and improve, but in what way? Do they learn new skills, or just finesse the skills they came in with? I ask this because I wonder if Sarah was always this great, even as a freshman, or if she got better and better each year. Same with all the seniors, really. I don't really remember much about them as freshmen and sophomores, but maybe that's just because the focus was more on the upperclassmen.

TLDR...

LSU will be very good next year, but it will heavily depend on the health of the sophomore class and how the incoming freshmen adjust. If the sophomores can develop a little more and expand a little on what they did this year, LSU will be fine, despite it seeming gloomy with the senior losses.

Vault- Kai and Kiya IMO will help this event a lot. Both are big vaulters. Kiya comes into LSU using a double twisting yurchecnko, she scored a 10 on this vault at regionals a week ago. Kai, they will probably get her to do a 1 1/2 but how soon they use it is early to tell. I am guessing they will go with a full at first for a "clean lead off". Ferrer they are planning on a bigger roles this year on that power events.

1. Kai Rivers
2. Ruby Harrold (10.0)
3. Bailey Ferrer (10.0)
4. Edwards (10.0)
5. Kiya Johnson (10.0)
6. Edney (10.0)
Other vaulters include Kirby, Desiderio, possibly Dean

Bars- Losing Priessman and Finnegan are major losses as they were consistent high scorers. They need Ferrer to Clean up her feet and small form breaks but she is clearly capable. Kai and Kiya are good bar workers. Caitlin Smith is an X factor but it all depends on the shape she is in when she Gets to LSU. Kirby could easily be in this lineup but it depends on her consistency.

1. Durante
2. Ferrer
3. Harrold
4. Kiya Johnson
5. Edney
6. Kai Rivers (yes her bars are that great)

Back ups include Kirby, Caitlin Smith, Dean

Beam- Probably the strength next year returning 5/6 routines and then add a big time beamer from Texas Dreams (Kiya). If anything we improve a lot here. They just have to clean up the leaps.

1. Desidero
2. Dean
3. Durante
4. Edney
5. Kiya Johnson
6. Campbell

Back ups include Smith, Kirby, D'Anotinio

Floor- Losing 3 routines is tough considering the quality of those. But Kai and Kiya are top floor workers and bring double layouts to open their routines. Ferrer will definitely be in this lineup next year as well, she had some ankle problems that kept her out this year from training.

1. Harrold
2. Desiderio (could move down the lineup depending on shape she is in)
3. Ferrer
4. Kai Rivers
5. Edney
6. Kiya Johnson

Keep an eye out on Campbell and Dean though. Ferrer easily should be in this lineup but if she isn't prepared, Campbell or Dean will take that. Edwards could too.

I think LSU fans can expect big things from Kai and Kiya immediately off the bat. They are as advertised, I promise. Of course things can change dramatically if people aren't healthy so lets all knock on wood...
